We are going in beginning of April to Poly for 7 nights and we are not sure if we should pay more to stay in a Lagoon view room. We have stayed in a Garden view room before. For those of you that have done Lagoon is it worth the extra money and which building is good?
Thanks.

Personally, I loved the LV. We stayed GV our first trip and switched to LV at the last minute on our second trip. Best thing I did! It was worth the money for us personally. I enjoyed getting up each morning and seeing the castle and lagoon in front of you. We could even hear some of the goings on at MK which was also fun! We stayed concierge in Hawaii so I can't be much help on a specific building. If you splurge and do concierge, nothing beats this. We made up the dollar difference just in breakfast and pop/water. If you spend all day at the parks, not worth the extra dollars. If you do like we do and split your time between the parks/pool, it was worth it for us. We'd grab breakfast on the way to the parks in the morning. We'd head back after lunch and grab water/pop and cookies/fruit, etc. and head to the pool. They would put out veggies, cheese/crackers very later afternoon and we'd grab a snack while changing to head back to the parks. Sometimes the offerings were enough for a light dinner! We'd do the parks in the evening and head back to grab desserts, etc. if we had time.

Hope this helps!

We leave in 39 days and will stay at the Poly for 4 nights before a 3 night cruise. I booked thru a TA so now I am wondering what kind of view we will have and how to find out. Could I find out this soon what kind of room we have for 5? I would love a view of the water and the castle.

Thanks.

If I were booking a LV, I would ask for Tahiti. That's the longhouse I wanted last summer, even for the GV. But, they were using if for concierge guests while Hawaii was being refurbished. But it's open now for non-concierge guests. Right on the lagoon, quiet. Quick walk to the TTC. My favorite longhouse.

Kimba:
We have stayed in both Tuvalu and Tahiti LV. Tahiti has the beach right outside your door but is somewhat far from the main pool and great ceremonial house. Tuvalu does not have a beach at all but is close to the marina and great ceremonial house. Both had excellent views of MK and Cinderella's castle. For me the LV was worth the extra $$$$; going to bed at night watching the colors change on the castle was magical for kids and adults alike. Our next trip (this May) we will be staying in the Hawaii building LV.......I can't wait. If you make a request for a particular room/floor, remember that the second floors of Tuvalu, Tahiti and Hawaii do not have balconies; for me, nothing beats having a cup of tea early in the morning on my balcony!

I am splurging this time and staying in the LV rooms....I have requested the Tahiti and I hope we can get it....I am planning on getting an early flight so we can check in early....They say that you would get the room you want more likely if you are there early. I hope they will let us swim while waiting, does anyone know how that will work?

Last month we stayed in Aotearoa room 3223 and had a great view of the castle. Being on the third floor we did not have the island in the middle blocking us at all. Great view of Wishes from our balcany also.

We were nice and close to GCH so morning coffee runs were pretty quick. It was actually good for us to be close to the main building as we froze on our trip so we at least didn't have far to go after getting warmed up from the monorail ride.

I was given the choice of Tahiti (which I had requested)also. But was told that part of the building was smoking and it was a longer walk. The CM assured me that I would have a good view of the castle from Aotearoa so I gave it a try. Worked out great.

Tahiti has balconies on both 2nd and 3rd floors and patios on first. With the nearly private beach and close proximity to TTC, it's my choice for a LV, non-concierge room. Also, you don't need to worry about a balcony/patio because all rooms have one or the other.
