Poly has booked us, 6, for june. Our 6th is 2 1/2, but they said thats not a problem. SO, the maximum must not be 5, but 6..
I wouldn't worry about it. ANd eating has nothing to do with why it annoys me. I'll pay for my child as an adult, but she isn't an ADULT. A 10 yr old isn't an ADULT. Period. They should never be referred to as one.We are having to pay adult prices for our DS10 (will be 11 at the time of trip) for the first time. At first I wasn't happy about it at all, especially with us using the DDP. However I have noticed lately that we have been letting him order off the adult menu when we go out and he eats all his food. Heck sometimes, he can out eat me. I'm 5'5" and he comes up to my forehead, wears a men size 7 shoe (same as me), and is pretty thin. At least for my DS the kids meals just wouldn't fill him up, so I have no problem paying adult price for him.
Also, when I booked the trip I was so excited about booking our first WDW trip at Christmas-time, that I forgot DS10 would have a birthday by our trip. He is actually going to be 11 at the time of our trip, not 10 like I put when I booked the trip on line. As soon as I noticed it, I called them and they told me not to worry. I tried to get them to change it, but so far they haven't. They just said that if I had put he was 9 and he was going to be 10 they would change it. Then it would be the difference between him being charged as a child vs being charged as an adult. Eventhough, I've been told by a couple of CM's not to worry about it, I still am.

Actually, my email ressies all have my daughters name age and ADULT listed next to it. My boys all have CHILD. That would lead me to believe WDC believes she is an adult which is ludicrous. That is what the CM is saying, but if you look at Disney info it says guests 3-9 and guests 10+.
I'm not talking about policies or prices, I'm talking about flat out unethical practices that the public turns a blind eye to yet you jum down this person's throat for asking a question. That's it
oh also on trip advisors they were bummed that mousekeeping no longer did cute things in rooms for the lil ones--they are thought that was a big dis appointment....
i like the idea of watching the fireworks from there with sleepy kids
My only point was, WDC is unethical also. You flame a person for asking a question, yet it is perfectly acceptable for the corporation to be unethicalI'm not talking about policies or prices, I'm talking about flat out unethical practices that the public turns a blind eye to yet you jum down this person's throat for asking a question. For the kids. And if you have such objections to WDW and it's practices and policies then why go?![]()
LOLSO, lol, children over 10 are adults, and children under 3 are not "occupants", therefore are not people at all..just kidding around..
It wasn't for asking a question, it was for stating openly that they and their TA are LYING about the child's age. That isn't an inquiry, but a statement.
, welcome to the DIS. It's a great place to share and learn about WDW.i think you guys are over reacting severely! my dd turns 2 three weeks prior to the trip HELLOOOOOOOO people wake up. the pricing stays the same for disney up until over the age of 3-this is to keep her on our lap on the flight down so she doesnt pay airfare........i dont appreciate your comments

I was only stating that as unethical as it might be for the OP to lie, it is just as wrong for WDC to lie -- which they do each and every day about tons of things. It has nothing to do with prices or policies -- it's the unethical practices that every one seem s to overlook becaue it is Disney that bothers me. A "spaid calling a "spaid" or whatever that saying is!!
True school lunches come in one size. Which is why my children want a snack as soon as they walk in the door, and so did all of the children of that age from the day cares I worked in.
