I keep getting conflicting info. I'd like to request the Samoa longhouse when we go to the Poly in July. I don't want a smoking room. Is this still a smoking longhouse? Thanks. :earsboy:

We were in Samoa in September in a non-smoking room on the third floor.

It was when it was refurbed in 2003. We stayed there July 2003 and it was smoke free. I believe it still is.

It is definitely smoke-free. BUT... when we stayed last in a first-floor room and spent some time out on our patio, our next-door neighbor was smoking on his patio several nights. Needless to say, we went back inside or left the area. Unfortunate that people have to do that.

It is smoke free BUT there are still those that smoke in them. I was on the third floor and every time I walked into the room the bathroom reeked of cig smoke. I called down numerous times and whenever someone would investigate they couldn't figure out where it was coming from. It was coming from some other room! After putting up with it for 3 days they finally checked out as the smoke ended.
