We will be taking my two nieces to WDW in October. 8 and 12. We are just curious if anyone out there has used the Neverland Club. We are considering using it for one evening from approximately 6:30 to Midnight, so the adults can have an evening at Pleasure Island. Specifically what I would like to know is: What age were the kids you left there? Did they enjoy it? What were the activities that they did during the evening? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!

We used it about half a dozen times when our son was younger, he always LOVED going there. It was a highlight of the trip.

If you can wait to book it (or if you can book it for later in your stay so that you can cancel if you want), you can check it out for free during the afternoons. Children must be accompanied by parents, and there is no food at that time, but they can use the games, toys, arts and crafts, etc, and see how they like it. You can also get a close up look at the place.

I would also suggest a visit to Tikiman's website for "all things Polynesian", including more detailed information about the Neverland club.

Hope this helps!
Mike

We took our two nieces and our son when we went in 97. Our son was 4, our nieces were 8 and 10. The girls had a wonderful time. Our son was not so glad to see us go, but they had the best caregivers there. One took him on her lap and rocked him until he felt a little more comfortable.

My kids 6 and 4 (Boy and girl) were dropped off at 700pm on a Sunday May 3,2004 and we were given a beeper and told the people we were going to Downtown Disney and we gave basic info phone number, hotel name etc. Then I went in the cute Peter Pan set up they had going on like the Darlings bedroom( Peter Pan) I looked all around maybe about 8 other kids. They had a craft area, a food buffet style area and a little stadium seating area with a big screen T.V.and Disney movies, games ETC. The people seemed real caring and my kids wanted me gone. When we got back at 1100pm the kids did not want to leave, they were winding down, still up watching movies and snacking. about 4 were there then and it was real quiet and calm. The kids met some really nice friends. we will definitely go next trip, They liked it some much about mid week they talked us into going again, this time our resort WL Cubs Den, Awesome as well. I hope this helped. We had never in our lives dropped our kids off with strangers, but it was a great experience and we are glad we did. Peylog:tongue:

What is the cost on the Neverland Club? Does it fill up fast? Limit on amount of kids? My DD is 5 but we have never had even a babysitter that was not in the family. She goes to preschool . I am nervous about this but it sounds like she would love it and she is really into Peter pan right now. Help me decide.

We used it when our kids (DS) were 10 and (DD) 12. It is set up really cute, but I have to say is geared towards younger kids. My kids hated it and still tease us to this day (4 years later) that we sent them there. I don't recall the exact price, but it was quite pricey. My kids are also used to eating adult food and were disappointed at the food selection (mac n cheese, chix nuggets, etc.). All kids are different though, so it really depends.

My son is 6 and has been going there since he was 4. He loves it! He is allowed to play, craft and pick his own meal from the buffet. He thinks it is a reward he gets for being good on the trip. ;)

I do not worry when he is at a Disney club. The first time we left him there he collided with another boy and they bumped heads - no big bump or cut but they paged us to tell us about it, let us talk to him and gave us the option to pick him up or leave him there. I liked the fact they paged us even though it was a minor situation.

The cost is $10 per hour.

My dd first used Neverland Club when she was 8, with a friend. She loved it. So much that she begged to stay at the Polynesian. We did and she used it again, by herself at age 9 1/2. Again she loved it. She is now 10 1/2 and is begging her father and I to go 'somewhere, anywhere' that she doesn't want to do to so she can stay at the Neverland Club again!!!
It is very well done. They give you a beeper and you sign a form. They give you a reciept type thing. If you return without that slip, you don't get your kid back!! As the CM told me..."No tickie, no kiddie!!" We wouldn't hesitate to use it again. Expensive? Maybe so at $10 an hour. But the peace of mind? Priceless!

I am so happy to hear these reviews.

My son (4) will be using the Neverland Club in a few weeks.
I have been telling me about it & he is pretty excited.
He loves meeting new kids.
I am sure he will have a ball & you all just totally put my mind at ease :sunny:

I dropping my kids off at the Neverland club in Oct. (DD 7, DS 9).

I was wondering, do they have video games to play here? I don't let him play video games at home (except his gameboy on the weekends) and he will be thrilled if he could play video games.

Thanks!
;) :D ,
Katie

What activities did your kids do there? What types of crafts, games etc.?? Our kids are 8 & 10, so I'd love to hear about the types of activities that would apply to this age group. Thanks so much!

Wow, such good reviews. Has anyone had a bad experience with it? Also, how far can you go with the beepers. Parks, Downtown disney or just in the hotel?
