We will be staying at the Poly in Dec. for 3 nights. We've requested the 1st floor(like having the patio area). However, we are up in the air with which building. We have a Garden View room and would like a building with a nice view, however we don't want to be on top of a pool and have to deal with the noise, and we also don't want too long of a walk to the GCH. Which longhouse(s) would you recommend? I've heard good things about Tahiti and Tokelau but they seem a little far from the GCH and Captain Cook's.

Niue. Or interior resort view Rarotonga. Fiji. I love Samoa patio, Volcano View precisely because it has easy access to the Volcano Pool, the GHC, the beach for fireworks viewing, and I never heard any noise except when the mower cut the grass which you will hear anywhere on grass-cutting day.

I would recommend Tahiti above all others...and Rapa Nui and Tokelau for my next choices. These longhouses are the largest...you may not know what you are missing if you have never experienced them, but I will never go back to another longhouse, even if upgraded to concierge!!!

Seriously, the Tahiti is the furtherst out and it is MAYBE a 3 minute walk to the GCH. Of course, I also cut through the long house right in front of the old arcade and that puts me right in front of the GCH.
