I think my family has decided where to stay at WDW next year, and would like to hear what you think about the resort!! We decided to try the Poly Concierge for 8 or 7 days without the DDP. We want to stay in the Hawaii buliding because of it's location to the pools and beach. Also I wanted to know what the cheapest room was, I think it is a Garden View room???? I am also open to any suggestions, tips and pictures you guys have!! This is my first stay at the Poly and I want to have alot of fun!! Thanks for any help!!

WDW has changed the name from "concierge" to "club level." If you are familiar with club level service in other hotels, that is what it is like at WDW, too.

Garden view rooms are cheaper than lagoon/MK view rooms. For me, if I had to pick between club level and a lagoon view, I'd pick the lagoon view. But, that's me.

Poly is a great resort, have a great trip!!

Thanks Cool-Beans!! But I think we want all of the great offerings of the Club Level than a better room view. Thanks Again!!

I just got back moments ago from a 7 night stay at the Poly and I had a GVC room (1522) and it was very nice. Garden view is the cheapest in the Hawaii building and if you want a view of the castle, but at a cheaper rate then just go up to the lounge on the second floor. The staff was great and I never had one complaint about anything. My family and I were well taken care of and had turn down service every night, towel animals galore, and great mouse keeping. If a lagoon view is that important to you, then by all means go for it, but I was quite satisfied with my view of the quiet pool and the grounds. On my next trip I'll probably just stick with my favorite building Samoa and save a few dollars, but club level was pretty sweet and Chef Dick really out does himself with his creations. Good luck on what ever you decide, you just can't go wrong with the Poly or the Hawaii building. Have fun.

Thank you for posting that great review. My family and I are staying in the Hawaii building with a Garden View, so it's great to read when others hace a positive experience when staying there.

My 40th Birthday present was 2 nights Club Level Garden View Room--staying at the Poly was a dream come true for me--my DH set the whole thing up and I couldn't have been happier. Our room was beautiful, the view was fine, of course a castle view would have been great but the Garden View was fine for us. BTW he booked a year early and used a AAA discount--it took some of the edge off the $$! You get the great "castle view" from the lounge and from the beach which is just a few tiny steps away. I had always wished we could stay there and of course we could have but I could never justify the $$. After years of wishing and reading about others experiences all I can say is you have to try it to get it. Now I get it and I think that spells trouble! The staff was absolutely fantastic--Fran was amazing! The food offerings were plentiful and the drinks were always stocked. Only problem for me was I never wanted to leave the resort--good thing it was our last two nights following 12 nights at OKW!
Of course since my DH spoiled me, his 40th will be a 4 night cruise in April followed by three nights club level at AKV--we gave the kids two nights club level at AKL two years ago when they "graduated" from MS and ES, so know what to expect from that--it won't be Poly CL but since I have the points it will do :lmao: !

Thanks for the great review!!! But a lagoon view is not important to me, we want to stay in the cheapest room. Because the Poly can get very expensive just for a view of the castle!! Thanks Again!!!

We just returned on Tuesday. Saw DisneyFan67 during our stay.

We had a GVC room as well room 3528. I totally agree with DisneyFan67. We were totally satisfied with our GVC room. The view was great and everything was really nice in our room. If we wanted the view of the castle we just walked down to the concierge lounge. The view there is spectacular.

You will love the Poly. Have fun planning your trip!

Could someone tell me what is offered at cub lebel. I have never stayed at club level in any resort but I here so much about it was thinking of upgrading our stay at AK lodge to club level.:confused3

You can look up my review. We didnt have a stay that was all that great. If you get a room make sure its close to the lounge if you plan on going there alot. Our room was on the 1st floor but it was far away from the lounge, a real pain. Our room had many problems when we checked in, so make sure everything is to your liking as you are paying top dollar for that room. The cms were not all that helpful either, just fixed one problem when we checked in and that was it. Hope you have a great trip. We are staying garden view next time and asking for our usual samoa lst or 3rd floor. Get to the lounge also right at 5 pm. It gets really busy, the lines are long and tables are at a premium. Enjoy yur trip.

I think the busy lines may have something to do with when you are there. We were there in December 2006 and really there weren't any lines. :confused3 Maybe like 2-3 people ahead of me for coffee in the morning but I would say that it wasn't overly crowded. I am sure it is probably really busy if the rooms are all filled up during a peak season or something but all I can comment on is when I was there in Dec 06. The food is plentiful. I found the CMs at the Club level to be *extremely* pleasant and very very helpful. We loved our stay there, it was a dream come true, literally. We did have the MK view and it was amazing but yeah you can see the castle from the lounge, so I can't comment on the Garden view rooms. If you spend lots of time at the parks you might not be back to the room for the food, that was our problem. we ate the breakfast there, but we never were back for lunch. We caught dinner and drinks maybe 2 of the 5 nights we were there. the other dinners were in the parks at other restaurants.

Because we have young children and like to eat at different restaurants throughout the World I probably wouldn't pay for Club level *just* for the food, but that is me. There are other long houses IMO, that are actually just as close to the pool and even some closer to the Ceremonial House. I found the Hawaii building to *not* be all that close to the Ceremonial house, compared to others such as Samoa.

All-in-all you can NOT go wrong with the Poly. Its an amazing resort, its beautiful and tranquil and just wonderful. We love everything about it.

have a blast on your trip Princess Brittany!! I am so jealous you will be there for so many days!!! :goodvibes
