Poly and Contemp way to 70's

I agree that the Contemporary should remain the same but think about it, it is called the Contemporary and the design of everything in it would be considered Contemporary.

I like this thread. It is good to see the different opinions.

I will add that everyone that says the Polynesian looks "Brady Bunch" (I know it was not mentioned in this posting but it has been before) I would like them to tell me what they have seen at the Polynesian that they have seen in the Brady bunch house. I know most say it because it reminds them of the Brady Bunch goes to Hawaii but if that is the connection than what you are saying is that the Polynesian looks like Hawaii.

I have a book of Tiki history at home and last night as I was looking through it almost everything in it looks like something at the Polynesian and these are things from all the islands. They even mentioned the Polynesian and the Tiki room for how authentic much of the design is.

Hey Tikiman this is Brando 90210, I have got a question for you? Do you have the background music for the Polynesian on your website? That is what I like the best about the Polynesian, I also love the smell of the GCH when you walk in it is great.

There is no place to get copies of the actual music used but I know what many of the songs are.

JUST the WAY THEY ARE! If there is a renovation of these two properties...it should only be to replace the SAME items (which may/may not be tired). It's difficult to improve PERFECTION.

On behalf of the Polynesian, I can not more fully agree with Tikiman's remarks. What some consider outdated, to me, is authentic polynesian culture and style. I have to admit, though, that before I stayed at the Polynesian this past Christmas I did not fully appreciate the Polynesian with its gorgeous architecture and lush landscape. I can now say that I will only stay at another resort if I do not have the money to afford the Poly. My family even agreed that we should always stay value in order to save money for periodic trips to the Poly. So my answer to the question asked would be, no, I do not think the Poly is too 70's. As for the Contemporary I can not say, as I have not yet stayed there.
