We are staying for the first time at the Poly Aug 9 - 18 - DH, 2x DD, DS and myself. One child has bad asthma so am looking for advice as to where to request a room. Close to monorail, main bldg. and also to boats for MK. Please help, must be nonsmoking. Did not get a water view, paid annual pass rate - reg. room!! Also, anyone have their email address for room requests?? THANKS!

There isn't an e-mail to fax the request you need to call it in or fax it in.

Some of the floors in some of the buildings do not have balconies so if you that is important I would suggest that.

Tokelau would be a good choice. This longhouse is very centrally located. The laundry room is right next to it with the arcade and the Neverland Club in the same building as the laundry. These rooms are slightly larger and some rooms have double sinks. You have a very good chance of getting a side view of the lagoon and maybe the castle with a garden view room on the beach end of the building. The rooms at the end of Tokelau are X914 (corner facing the GF side) and X915 (corner facing the TTC). Change the "X" to the floor you want. The last 4 rooms are a great view of the lagoon and beach (X914 - X911) and (X915-X918). As you move farther down each side you start to get blocked by the Hawaii building and Tahiti. Rooms 2914 and 3914 are considered a lagoon view room and you will have to pay a lagoon view price but the surrounding rooms still give a great view.
There is not a lot of traffic in this area. There are balconies on 2nd and 3rd floors. A few of the rooms are set up with roll in showers for the disabled.

It also has a hidden secret. When it was first built they took a handfull of rooms and used them as test rooms. These rooms have different layouts than any other rooms in the Polynesian. Some have double sinks and others even have the sink area outside the bathroom. There is even one with a vanity area. I do not know what the room number are.
