Poll: where should we stay??

Hey everyone. We are planning a trip for Aug. There are 4 adults, a 6yr old and a 2yr old. We need some place to be while the 2yr old takes a nap so here are our choices:
1. WL deluxe room w/concierge
2. WL villas 2BR
3. 2 rooms at Polynesian
4. 2 rooms at BC

I voted for the 2BR Villa at the Wilderness Lodge. The Polynesian is a great resort, but I think you would be better off with the size of the Villa. The full kitchen is a definite plus.

IMO it really depends on the atmosphere that you like. We love the atmosphere of each resort you picked, but the rooms at the WL were too dark for our taste. For me I would pick either the Polynesian...monorail to MK or the BC for the quick walk into Epcot or boat to MGM and then throw in the awesome pool at BC and it's the winner!

not a big fan of WL, but any 2 bdrm villa would be the best choice, imho

I voted 2 rooms at BC but I would really choose a 2bdr villa at the BC with a party that size. The deluxe room at WL will feel crowded with that number of people. Not a fan of WL over all so My first choice is BC for the pool then Poly for the monorail.

Thanks guys. The BC was rigianlly my first choice. There are no 2BR villas available te entire summer. I am really hoping something will open up!

With 2 small children, being on the monorail will be so much easier for you and them. The Poly, or any monorail resort...

If you are going to spend any amount of time in Epcot or MK with a 2 year old the monorail is a god send! It great to be able to hop back for a cool down swim or a nap. And the 0 entry pool with a 2 yo is awesome. They can just wade in and out. IT is also a quick walk to TTC to get to Epoct quickly. IMHO Good luck deciding!

I voted for 2 rooms at the Poly, but it really depends on your situation. Are you traveling with another family? Or are they your family? WL villas are spectacular, especially with the kitchen, but~do you really want to be in the same space with the other family or do you want your own space? The Poly is a vacation within a vacation and you can't beat the location! The proximity to MK with young children is just phenominal!

So here is some more info. We will be traveling with my parents. So it is myself and my husband, my mom and dad, my 6yr old and my 2yr old. The baby does nap, so we need lots of thing s to do with the older one while he is napping. Great pool is a plus. We will be doing the DDP, so the full kitchen isn't that big of a deal since we'll really just be using it for breakfast and the fridge. That is why we were thinking the deluxe room wouldn't be bad at WL since we would be able to get breakfast and coctails! I really like the pool at the BC, but is it worth the extra $$$?

It all depends on the atmosphere that you're looking for. Personally, I detest the Wilderness Lodge, but I'm from Wisconsin, so to me, it's like being at home. I love the Poly because it's tropical and different.

For me, having a kitchen isn't that big of a deal because, heck, I'm on vacation. I'm not cookin'!

If you're going back to the room to nap, the Poly is the closest and while the little one naps, someone can go back into the park with the 6 year old.

I voted Poly for the monorail. If you get 2 connecting rooms it would be possible for the older one to remain at MK/Epcot with another family member and enjoy some rides the 2yo would not be able to do. The family member with the 2yo old would be able to relax in the other room with the door connecting door cracked. With the monorail and a cell phone it would be easy to contact the party remaining in the park when the younger one wakes up and reconnect in the park somewhere.

I voted Poly..2 rooms....larger rooms....on the monorail...your kids are younger...perhaps you will spend more time at MK (?)...

A 2bdr would be awesome at BC...however the availability factor would stress me out not knowing if we would have that or not...

You have great choices.....I would not pay the price of a 2 bdr ...yikes...if we didnt have DVC, our 2 bdr at OKW this summer would be well over $600 a night!
There is a forum here where DVC owners rent points...however...BCV is extremely popular.

When staying at the poly when our girls were smaller we would often have one parent go back for nap and the other stay at the park with older dds. We have also been fortunate enough to get a first floor room on the beach so that the older girls could go to the pool with one parent, the youngest could nap and hubby or I could stay back at the room and sit in the sun just outside the slider with doors open to hear little one while she slept. It is nice not being trapped inthe room with a sleeping toddler. Just a tought.

If you aren't going to use the full kitchen, I would pick two rooms at the Polynesian. The monorail is so convenient, and the pools are very nice.

It is actually almost $1000.00 cheaper to do the 2BR villa than 2 seperate room! Now if only a 2BR at BCV would open up I think it would be my first choice!

you could try renting on the boards if you really want the villa.

i voted 2 rooms at poly. it is great to be on the monorail with little ones.

I am a little nervous to rent on the boards. Idon't have much luck, plus if something happens and we need to cancel there isn't much you can do.

I voted for the BC because it is so easy to access the great restaurants in the countries of Epcot. I love the Poly too so either is a great choice. In fact I have stayed at GF, Poly, Cont, and BC and can't remember having a bad trip.
