POLL: When is your child's Spring Break?

I'm curious to know how Spring Break will be falling for most in 2006 and what crowds will be like during my April trip. When is your child's school having Spring Break?

Ours is the first week of April, but most districts I know of fall during the last 2 weeks of March. I don't know if you want to change your poll, or if only April is of concern to you.

Us too!! How bad do you think the crowds will be then? I was thinking of "slipping down" to Disney ( a mere 980 mile one way drive) if it wasn't when most of the Sprin Breakers went. Easter is late this year, I thought it may work to my advantage!

DD's Spring Break is from April 5 until April 16. A good long break!!

She is on Fall Break now - Friday, and next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday! Woo Hoo!!

Around here Spring Break is alway in march regardless of when Easter is. Next year it will be the first full week of March.

March 13 - 18, the same as many other nearby universities (give or take a week).

I'm glad to see many are in March. We're going the last week of April. We're traveling with friends from New Jersey who's kids will be on Spring Break. So far, it looks like most don't share that week for the break. Woo Hoo!

Carroll County Maryland: April 12, 13, 14, 17. This Wed, Thurs, and Fri before Easter, plus Mon after.

BUT...if we have too much snow this winter, they start tweaking with the June schedule and the Spring break schedule to make it up. For some reason there's a big influence here (from whom, I have no idea) that is completely opposed to extending school past the 2nd Friday of June. So if snow-days threaten that, they shorten Spring break. Drives me crazy; I mean Spring break is already short enough. Just extend in June, for crying out loud!

One year all we got off was Good Friday...and that was because the State stepped in and nixed County plans to cancel Spring break altogether...just so they could end school by the 2nd Friday in June.

When I was a kid, it always coincided with Easter. But for my kids, it's halfway through the semester...to match the U. of IL: March 20-24.
