Oh man, you're a tease!
Well, I hope if he's not right for you, that the experience has helped in some way and you have another date with someone else soon.
Ironically enough, after I updated yesterday, I got text messages from him, and I hadn't heard from him in a week. One of the messages actually said..."You have to see me again, I still have your dvd"
Hmmm....maybe he IS following this thread. Awk-ward.
Ditto.
Plus, some of ya'll are falling into mmackeymouse's modus operandi with her latest "tease."
Oh for Pete's sakes. I hadn't even visited this thread for a few days. The only reason I did, was because I saw it had been updated, which was wvjules' question, and that's why I answered. I wanted to give those that were curious some sort of resolution without going into the details. I suppose I could have not answered and just abandoned the thread, but I was just trying to be nice, and as delicate about it as possible.
Don't you think if I were trying to cause a stir, I would have been updating this thread with ACTUAL information?
I'm single (widow) and eager to know! I just read your first original post and this last post. I didn't read anything in between. So have you guys been talking on the phone since the first date? I hope there will be a second date! So does he have your Mary Poppins dvd? If so, then there should be a second date! He has to return the dvd to you sometime!

I would love to hear more! And good luck!
How very sweet of you. I don't know that there will be a second date anytime in the near future. But, maybe hanging out as friends...at least to get my Mary Poppins back! Haha.
Am I from a different world or something? Why is Japanese unusual for a first date? My first date with my fiancee 9 years ago was a vegan Japanese place...and THAT didn't seem weird. (btw, neither of us are vegan or vegetarian....we just liked their food)
It's posts like this that make me so glad that I grew up in New York.
This post made me laugh. Where I am, we have had a Chinese restaurant for years, but it's not super popular. We have a Mexican restaurant that is probably the most popular restaurant in town. And, that's about the extent of our ethnic diversity. Mainly, it's fast food or down home local grub, greasy spoons, bar and grills, Amish restaurants, things like that. So, yes...Japanese is/was certainly not in my wheel house.
I finally shared with a friend and she asked me where we went, and I said "Japanese." And her first question was..."Is that sushi and stuff?" and then she is like..."Did you go all the way to Indianapolis?" I explained to her, no there was a Japanese restaurant in a nearby city, and she was blown away. A Japanese restaurant in our neck of the woods?! She had no clue. (And honestly, I didn't either.)
