Neither would get my vote for anything. I would vote for a woman, but not either of those two. I consider Hilary to be just this side of Satan, and Condi to not be someone who stands up for what she believes in. I think she disagrees plenty with W.

Know one could or should know whether Condi disagrees with W or not. Her job as Secretary of State is to represent the current administration and speak with one voice. Her job is not to formulate foreign policy or use her job to advance her own personal agenda. You may not like Condi for other reasons, but "not standing up for what she believes in" is not something that can be proved or disproved. Its immaterial in her current position.

Look at her work record in the Senate and the bi-partisan respect she is getting. She is a good hard working Senator and since I am a New Yorker, I like to see what my State elected officials are doing. She's doing a good job for us here and I think she would do a good job in Washington. Just because she's not warm and fuzzy like Laura Bush, doesn't mean she's cold hearted and evil. Far from it, I believe.

It's true. I don't get where all the hate for her comes from. :confused3
Are they told to hate her by Right-Wing radio? I don't agree with Condi's positions, but I sure don't hate her or think she's satan.

I don't follow politics so I can't say my opinion is an informed one, but I voted for Condi. I have never like Hilary. Wouldn't call her evil, but I feel she had her turn in the White House. Same with the Bushes. I'd like to see some fresh blood in the WH. McCain I would like, not sure about any others.

I have heard Sen. George Allen, of Virginia, mentioned more frequently as a possible GOP candidate. He is someone I would like to hear more about.

Good point, and now thinking back, I did hear her say that personally, she was Pro-Choice on Meet the Press. Vote Hill, vote Condi, either way, they're probaby both going to give you the exact same results...although Condi wouldn't make it out of the primaries with a Pro-Choice stance.

Wow! I consider this a rather Conservative forum and look who's leading. That's a bit of a surprise.

Given that it's an unscientific poll with words that clumsiliy tried to stack the deck, it's just a further example of what's going on across the country.

I am unsure how you feel that I "attempted to stack the deck", other than using Dr. Rice's title and omitting Hillary's title which was included in her "resume". I guess it was the "et ceteras" that confused you. :rotfl:

Given those choices, I'd write my own name in ;)

just my speculation -- but yes it is partly that. Personally I would have listed both women with their current titles. Sec of State Rice and Senator Clinton. I'm not sure why you would list Clinton's major qualification for President last in the list and lead with a job that she held 2 decades ago. I'm sure that was just an oversight on your part Dawn.

In addition, your long history of ridiculing anybody with a viewpoint to the left of your own (such as I guess those et ceteras confuse you...stoopid moron implied) might have a tendency to encourage some people with differring viewpoints to just skip right over your polls and threads.

JMHO

You know, I distinctly remember this same poll came up about a week to two weeks ago.

Well, I'd vote for Condi.

Hilary because she does not believe that a woman has to stay at home and bake cookies. :cool1:

Condoleeza is too much of a "yes" man for my tastes and in my opinion she has been caught in as many falsehoods and half truths as Bush...Hillary all the way!

Clinton winning by 148 to 125. Still very close!

Geeez, you're killer today.

Btw, jokes on you...........Condo-geez-did-I screw-up-again Rice is still losing. :rotfl2:

And a few of those "et cetera's" you failed to mention was Rice sat on the board of Chevron oil, owns 250,000 shares of Chevron, and Chevron likes her so much, they named an oil tanker after her.

No ties to big oil there. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'd love for it to come down to the two of them. I'm not sure who'd get my vote, but I might finally watch some debates!
