Political: Obama's speech

IMO, by far the best of the lot. He seems to have energy, enthusiasm, a sense of personal responsibility, optimism and strongly held beliefs. Not sure that translates to the Kerry-Edwards ticket, but good call FIK... he's likely one to keep an eye on for the future.

As one who rarely votes for Democrats, my advice to Democrats is put him forward as the face of your party for the future.

No, I missed that. But Obama seemed to have the right message, delivery, attitude, optimism, passion behind it, etc. Maybe it's my bias in listening, but he sounded a lot less to the left than many of the other speakers. Especially regarding personal responsibility and the government's role to ensure access to opportunities (not equality of result). I think he could bring in a good deal of independents to the Democratic party with that approach.

DH said he was great and I caught his interview with Brian Williams. Caught the tail end of Regan's speech. I am happy to see new faces on the scene.

Obama was fantastic! He hit many key points about what it means to be an American. His delivery was perfect. I only wish I could vote for him. Maybe in a few years if he runs for a Nationwide office.

I had never heard of Obama until earlier today when I was told that he was great and I'd find out how great tonight. Wow! He is definitely someone we'll see in the future and I wouldn't be surprised if he'll be our first black president.

Obama's getting my vote this November. He is a so well spoken. I've seen him many times on local TV and he is always that way. He also answers questions asked of him and doesn't evade them.
