Poison Ivy Help

CVS carries Zanfel, as well as Wal-Mart. I wouldn't wait if you can get it tonight....usually poison ivy keeps getting worse before it gets better (my first outbreak lasted 3 weeks from begining to end). Good luck!

Yep! Now that I know better I will never be w/o it!:thumbsup2

You know I try to be as green as possible, but I drew the line at poison ivy (fortunately, I don't tend to get it, but I've had housemates that did).

Here's how I got rid of it. Ortho Brush-B-Gone. I bought a bottle of that and a gallon sprayer when I lived in a townhouse that backed to some deep woods. In the summer, the path through there was completely covered by poison ivy a couple of feet high. I kept thinking about all the kids that wanted to walk through there. I started spraying every spring with the brush-b-gone, and over a couple of years, had the poison ivy beaten back to a good clearance on either side of the path. (and cleared from my fence line to the path completely). That stuff was great, and it didn't take down everything like a Round-up would.

There's only one thing that works: Zanfel. Buy it OTC at the pharmacy. Best money you'll ever spend.

:thumbsup2

So expensive, but so worth it. I keep it in my house at all times. I am extremely allergic to poisen Ivy. It is the only thing that works besides the steroids which cause there own problems from side effects.

My sister had a bad case of poisen ivy a couple of years ago. Along with the meds she used the hair dryer. Turn it on low and aim it at your rash. She loved it, said it helped tremenously and this was the middle of summer.
