i am holding both a points res and cash res for a fri, sat @ vero beach costing either 106 total res points or $599.75. (incl 11% tax) which is better deal? the rest of my stay is on points (during the week) p.s. i am not strapped for points but don't want to waste them either! also, not looking at trying to sell them for profit!!

Whether it is worth it or not depends on how you look at your points. Many people choose to look at thier points by seeing how much they can rent them for. That seems to be about $8-10 a point. I don't plan to rent points unless I am in dire straits of loosing them, so I choose to look at what I have invested in my points which is about $5 - $6 per point.

In your case it will cost you approx. $583 (106 X 5.5) in point to stay, but if you look at the "Trade value" you will loose potentially $954 (106 x 9) if you choose to "Rent" those points.

It is a matter of your view point

I had that dilemma over Xmas (cash was a little under $5 per point.) I went with the cash option. Be forwarned, however, you do not get free videos, etc. Ebb and Flo's was a littl emore lenient and gave me memer prices on activities. With cash, you get the housekeeping.
