1) When do I sign up for daily trash and towel service?

2) Is it $10 per day and do I pay upon check in?

3) Do they come in and do this at odd times or just like a normal mousekeeping service?

4) When I check in is there any chance of being transferred to the regular wilderness lodge if i ask?

(4) No, you can't stay at WL on points.

Full daily housekeeping is not $10 per day.

Studio -- $25 per day
1 Bed -- $30 per day
2 Bed -- $40 per day
GV -- $60 per day

$10 per day gets daily Trash & Towel. This means fresh towels, emptying the garbage and replenshing some supplies. (They do not make the bed, do dishes, etc.)

If you are putting a credit card on your room, the cost will be billed to the room. You can let them know at the front desk you want daily housekeeping. You might also follow-up with a call to Housekeeping to be sure it's on their schedule.

Housekeeping is done on a regular schedule as in the regular resort. I imagine they do rooms that have incoming guests first whenever possible.

I might also add that unless you are in a studio, you will have a washer and dryer. Also, you would probably find, like most all DVC owners, that you would prefer to NOT have someone coming in your room every day to just change out the towels and empty the trash.

4) Rooms at the WL are inferior to the WLV, but you can not use points to get them anyway. I stayed in the WL when it first opened the rooms were very small, not worthy of so called deluxe resort, you will have a much better room at WLV even if it is a studio.
1) You do not sign up for trash and towel service it just happens usually on the 4th day of your stay or is it the 3rd day. I have been a member since 95 and I can't tell you for sure, just shows you how unimportant T&T day is to us.

Reading between the lines I assume you are booked at another DVC resort than Wilderness Lodge. If this is the case, you will not be able to switch I believe, but you can certainly ask. You can sign up for Trash and Towel at any time at or after checkin. Frankly, I'd wait and see how things go. As noted, you will get a free one if you're stay is 4 nights or longer and a full cleaning plus a fee T&T if it's 8 nights or more. Maybe someone more familiar with the Turn Down Service will alert you to that service which I believe includes T&T. You can also do this on an as needed basis by simply calling the day you want it or the night before. Although you won't have a W/D in a studio, all DVC resorts have a laundry room with free W/D for the studio people to use, but you must supply the washing powders and fabric softener.
