When using points, are the points required per night or day?

Example: Staying BWV, Nov 11-15 in a standard studio.
Sunday-Thursday 9 points each =45 points

Does this mean Sunday check-in to Thursday night, check-out Friday morning, or Sunday day, to Thursday, check out Thursday??

If I stay weekly, is it really 7 nights/8 days for 87 points......Check in Sunday, check out Monday morning?? :confused3

Thanks

Sun-Thur is the rate per night for weekday nights: Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed and Thu nights. So in your example of checking in to a Standard-view studio on Sun Nov 11, 2007 and checking out on Fri Nov 16, 2007 that would be 5 nights at the weekday night rate of 9 points per night for a total of 45 points for that stay.

The weekly point rate is for any stay of 7 consecutive nights, in other words 5 weekday nights and 2 weekend nights (Fri, Sat). So if you checked in on Sat Nov 10, '07 and checked out on Sat Nov 17, '07 that would add two weekend nights (at 21 pts/night) to your stay, bringing the total to 87 points.

Note that if your trip spans different "Seasons" on the points chart, the rate for each day is based on the season in which that date falls. This is different from the rate you pay at WDW hotels where the rate for the entire trip is based on the rate in effect on the day you check in.

Hope this helps!

Helps a lot thanks. :thumbsup2

We are looking at the week Nov10-17, but may alter that to SundayNov 11-Friday16 . That way, we will only need a total of 66 points, check out Sat. morning, spend all day Sat. at the park, drive back to airport, stay at cheaper hotel there, and fly back home on the Sunday.
We did a similar thing this Sept. when staying at POP, but now I am a new DVC owner, can't wait to hit BWV. :Pinkbounc
