POFQ to REOPEN!!!!

I checked the WDW website and it says room occupancy 2-4.
It is a shame that they didnt have a trundle bed too like POR.

Just booked for my April stay at an AP rate. I was told that the rooms accomodate 5 people.

Can anyone tell me what kind of room request I should make? I have never stayed at this resort before. Is the main pool and the food court right next to each other like at CBR?

Thanks

Hello, I am so excited! I just changed my ressies from POR to POFQ. My question is, what building do I want to request? The CM I talked to suggested buildings 2 or 5 so I suggested that she request either of those but I can always change that when I hear from some of you on your favorite buildings. I'd like to hear from all of you POFQ fans on why it's your favorite resort.
Have a Disney Day! ::MinnieMo

Ok, now I'm confused. Can someone post if they've been able to book a room for a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids)? I don't want to call back long distance but I'd switch our ressies and stay onsite if we could get POFQ.

Brer Mama and others,
Hello! I just thought I'd let you in on a little info. that I just discovered today myself. There is an 800 number for Disney it is
1-800-828-0228
Also, We are staying at POFQ with 5 people but that is because at the beginning of our trip our DD will only be two. We are planning to celebrate her 3rd b-day while we are there.
I hope that I've helped. I found that number on the budget board just today. I LOVE this website! ::MinnieMo

I just changed my May trip to POFQ!!! I am so excited, because this was my first choice!!

I just had to celebrate with all of you!

POFQ is a very small resort (comparatively speaking). No matter where you are, you will be close to everything. That being said buildings 2 and 5 are both near the pool and less than a 5 minute walk to the food court. Part of each building faces the river which is lovely. Building 2 use to be a smoking area so you may want to ask about that. Buildings 3 and 4 are more towards the front of the resort which would put you closer to the bus stop (especially building 4.

I am using a map from my last visit to POFQ in 2001 to get this information so be sure you confirm it with the hotel as things may have changed.

POFQ has always been my favorite resort. I can't wait to stay there again!

Does anyone have a map for POFQ. I have a standard room booked (after moving my res several times) and I would also like to be close to the pool and food court, etc. Does bldg 2 and 5 only have waterview rooms?:wave2:

We stayed in a standard view room in building 5 last April.
All of the buildings have standard view rooms. Most also have waterview rooms. We were on the back side of the building (away from the pool) we looked ot onto a landscaped courtyard and another building.

I am curious to see if they renumbered the buildings or moved smoking rooms.

Just booked POFQ for April. Used the 800 number listed in one of the above posts. It took a total of 10 minutes from the time I started dialing until the time I hung up. All my requests where handled in a very friendly manner. I was quite pleased considering some of the bad experiences I have read that other have had.

I just booked POFQ 11/26-12/5/04...118.64/nite w/ tax AAA. The CM said they have been getting calls like crazy with people calling for POFQ. I told her that there are a lot of obsessed people like us who were just watching & waiting!

This is my favorite moderate. I was planning on staying at the Wilderness Lodge for my entire stay on my next trip, but it looks like I'll be doind some room splitting.

YIPPEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe the AAA rates are available year round...you have to ask for them though.

Thank you Virgo 10. I made my switch from POR and I asked for 2 or 5. I just hope it really works. My CM said the softwear wasn't ready for guests who were using the Visa package.
She said she was walking my info to costumer service for them to make the move when the software was ready, then they would call me and let me know it is done. Has anyone ever heard of them doing things like this? It was great! She was very helpful, now I just have to wait for a call.

I made my reservations on Saturday nite and somehow they booked the room for 3 adults and 2 children. CM wasn't able to take the additional person off and was going to walk this down to guest services and she would call me back with correct deposit info. I haven't heard back from them yet. I'm going to call tonite and see if they gave me an AAA rate. My rate is $144 which I believe is the normal rate.

Hey I was wondering if anyone does know the AAA rate for mid June?
I'm like you momoftwins98 and have my last night rate of $144.00 I'm on the Visa deal the rest of the time. Hope to heat for m somone. Thanks YO

Any confirmation if FOFQ will allow 5 people (2-adults, 3-kids) ?

Do they offer the trundle bed option like POR ?
