POFQ to REOPEN!!!!

AAA rate for June is $122.40/night plus tax, standard view. That's a 15% discount. :D I was able to get it applied to our existing reservation for June 2-9. We need two rooms so it saves us over $350!!! Now I really can't wait for summer! :hyper:

Refresh my memory everyone. Does POFQ have elevators??

Thanks,

Carol

Hey everyone,

I'm tossed up as to whether to stay at POFQ or WL - I've never stayed at either, but I'm looking forward to trying one of them.
Thanks!

POFQ is our favorite hotel, it's too bad we will miss the resort's reopening date by only a week! ( we leave on the 16th)

I have ressies at CSR end of May, has anyone stayed at CSR and POFQ which one did you like better.

I know my 10 year old son would love the pool slide and being a smaller resort helps.

also can you get to the parks by water taxi i know you cant at CSR.

oh and also how are the food courts??
thanks

Hi
I perfer POFQ too CSR I have stayed at POFQ twice going on third this year. CSR is more of a convention hotel great pool and food but the food in the food court is more expensive and less choices they add a grauity on for getting your bevrages even if you have a refillable mug which you fill yourself. With tax and tip it is 17% to your bill. CSR is a beautiful resort but is very large also if your not going with kids this resort will not have many. Trasportation is good at both resorts. I just perfer POFQ for the Madi Gras theme and the size of the resort. KELLY

""", has anyone stayed at CSR and POFQ which one did you like better."""
I much prefer CSR over POFQ. POFQ is actually my least favorite of the moderates. It is pleasent enough but a bit bland. The food court is okay looking and the food passable but not a big deal. I like the food at the Pepper Market at CSR better. The different themes at CSR are more interesting to me as well.
The pros about POFQ are that it is smaller and everything is more convenient to walk to, particularly if you get the refillable mug. The pool is fun with the serpant slide but there is just the one pool. The rooms will be freshly remodeled.
The pool at CSR is much more spectacular looking and the slide longer. And there are 3 other "quiet" pools. You can get food at the food court and at the main pool. The views across the lake are expansive and nice.
Either place will make for a fun, great trip.

Has anyone that booked the Visa Kids Free package been able to change their reservations over to FQ. I have contacted my and they said they are have problem. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem.

hate to keep asking so many questions about POFQ but on another thread they said they think the pool got a facelift so i wonder if the pool slide had a facelift and hopeing its still the serpent
thanks again

pmoments Has anyone that booked the Visa Kids Free package been able to change their reservations over to FQ. I have contacted my and they said they are have problem. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem.

I'm on the Visa pkg also and they told me it was a software thing and she took my name and info and said she would take it to customer service and they would get hold of me when the software was ready. She said to call back in about a week it they don't contact me. I'm impatient so I'll probably call them again by thurs if I don't hear back. I'll post as soon as I hear from them.

:wave2: YO

When I read on the boards the other night that POFQ was going to open I decided to try to get down for a couple of days. We have never stayed there but loved POR and everywhere else we have stayed. My goal is to stay in each motel at least oncebut my husband will not split time so I guess many trips are in our future.

We went ahead and made a reservation and found air fare for a great price so we will be going down for three nights over spring break to watch our high school band perform.

I can't wait!

Kathy
