I tried to remember some other positive things about the POFQ. So, here goes!
When you walk into the lobby it is like you have entered a New Orleans court yard. Jazz music, fountain and someone is there to hand you Mardi Gras beads.
The side walks are layed out like streets and they all have names. (We had just been to New Orleans and my 4 yo wanted to know where Bourbon Street was. LOL) The sidewalks are not just concrete, they are textured, some may of had a brick look and it seens other had stones, the concrete was tented a dark color. The landscaping is beautiful.
The boat ride to DTD was wonderful at night. We really enjoyed this adventure.
We rode the bus to the park and found that service was fantastic. One advantage about POFQ is that the bus usually picks up here first the goes over to Riverside. Unlike CBR, if I remember correctly, POFQ only has one pickup spot. The reason is the resort is so small/compact. As I said in the earlier post, I liked that!
I like the location of POFQ in relation to other areas of interest. We drove to FT. Wilderness and then hopped on a bus to go to the Hoop Dee Doo. It was no drive at all. DTD is close also.
The gift shop is adequate, but I do think the one at Riverside is nicer , larger, well stocked.
As I also said earlier, check-in was fast. They were friendly and assisted us in getting priority seatings, directions.
The room decorations at Riverside in the mansions are themed around a Mississippi paddle boat, cotton gin, etc. The rooms had river and boat prints on the wall. At the POFQ there were old black and white photos of individual people. The ones in our room gave the person's name, year taken (if known) and my favorite part, which cast member they were related too. For example, John DOe, 1885, Grandfather of cast member of Jane DOe. NEAT!
Tha't all I can remember right now. I'll try to remember more later.
