Is the boat ride to DTD relaxing and enjoyable? What is the amount of time to arrive from the resort to DTD?

I find the boat to be very relaxing--it's a nice break from the buses. There is some neat stuff to look at,and it's fun waving at the other boats that pass by. I haven't done the boat in a while, but I want to say the trp is 20-30 minutes or so.

The drop offs are at Cap'tn Jacks and I think West Side?? I know for sure Cap't Jacks

We love taking the boat to DTD from POFQ. It is relaxing. We love looking at the Tree House Villas and watching the progress on Saratoga Springs. I've heard that if you are going to Pleasure Island they will drop you off (by request) and pick you up at that end (only until a certain time). After that time(11ish), you can take the bus back to your resort.

I really enjoy the boat ride from POR and POFQ to DTD. It's relaxing, and my dad and my uncle enjoy seeing the golf courses along the way. The scenery is very nice, and it only takes about 20 minutes to get to DTD.

A word of advice: If you have long hair, pull it back before you go on this boat ride. It can get a little breezy along the river.

I agree.... this was such a nice ride for our family several years ago.... that I cannot wait to do it again on Thursday!
It did take around 20-30 minutes...... but nice and relaxing. On the way home, there was a nice group who sang songs... and everyone joined! I think it is a bonus when you stay at POR and POFQ!
