Sorry for everyone that is having storms today. Here it is just supposed to be miserably hot (yesterday tied the record of 85 and today is supposed to get up to 89!).
The network outage thing is why I broke down and bought a battery backup. My wife and I both have Macbooks so we are good on that when the power flickers but it killed me to have the modem and Time Machine backup/wi-fi go down anytime the power had the slightest flicker and not come back for 10 minutes, plus killing the hard drive part of the Time Machine. This week it has already happened twice that I know of :O

We are having a beautiful day here in Boston! Low 70's which is wonderful. So nice to have my window's open at this time of year.

Windy weather here - still waitng for rain. Door keeps making noises - like there's a ghost.

Had to run home to save a package that FeEx left on my porch. Good thing I did. On my way back in, I saw a guy riding a bike get blown over, Charlie Chaplin style.

Went from a light gray day to dark as night too. Glad my house isn't made of hay or sticks.

I'm not sure whether or not I am pleased or disappointed that the meteorologists hyped and over sensationalized the weather front that just moved through.

The temps dropped. The sun is still hiding. There hasn't been anything above a normal breeze in hours. The only measurable wind was when I was driving and it blew the gentleman over. Less than 1/8" of rain. No massive power outages. If this was the worst storm in 60 years, I want a refund.

Now I don't have an excuse not to go mow mom's lawn for the last time this year.

I don't know that I have any dining openings for this trip, but I have often wondered about buying/using these certificates. Glad to hear that they are on the up and up. My cousin is trying to convert me to groupon-ing.

We got the brunt of the storm down here. There was 70+ mph winds and funnel clouds. We got a little bit of rain too. Though not nearly enough to end our drought.

Thinking of switching to 2nd dining. We normally eat at 7ish. Thoughts? DD-19 might be happier with others her own age-range.

Must be getting over-excited....Worrying about things like getting my luggage tags.

It was really nasty here in Indianapolis this morning. They made all of us go down to the tunnels/concourse/basement of our campus of buildings for about 45 minutes from 9:30-10:15. Straight line wind gusts of 70+ mph, a severe thunderstorm warning, and a tornado warning.

It was pretty nasty, but once it blew through the temps dropped and the sun came out.

It's still a little windier than it should be, but I'm glad the bad stuff came and went without our neighbors' tree ending up on our garage.

Glad you're safe, Dodie! :goodvibes

We survived down here. And hey - at least you have pot roast!

We're on our pre-cruise diet... :sad2:

Soooooo, I had a mandatory (Code for boring) training today at work all day.

Rather than paying attention and dying a bit inside, I spent several hours poring over the Disney Cruise Line menus and figuring out what I will probably be ordering on the boat for dinner. It's the little things that will get me to the plane EARLY December 10th lol

Overhyping the weather is one of the reasons I don't miss living up North. They did that all the time.

The last 10 days of work have been so insane I haven't even checked the boards. I so need this vacation.

LOL! DH always says that if he ever loses his job he'll go be a weather person. :rotfl: He said you just have to know how to point and read..point and read. :rotfl:

Been pretty much like that all of October for me Scott. Hopefully November brings a little relief in that regard and I can get back to posting a bit more. December is getting closer though. :cool1:
