It is over eighteen months until my next Disney vacation.

Wish I could stop thinking about it!

I keep wondering about doing only the cruise or adding a few days or week before the cruise. Wish my mind would stay still and let me sleep!

I hear ya....seems like sooooo far away. I'm hoping to take my DGD down next year for Spring Break...as soon as I find out when that will be, my sister can see if she can get us in at her time share.

Whoo Hoo....my new ladder for the pool has come in !!! (not that it is warm enough to swim yet) Now, keep those fingers crossed that we can make it work with the deck. At least this one is fully made of plastic and won't fall apart.

Sounds like fun! When can I come over? We just got back from WDW last night. And boy am I tired today!

It was a great trip and we did so much in a little amount of time. We did the Destination D, the Wishes dessert party and had lunch with an Imagineer. I am going to have to do a trip report soon! I am going on a cruise in October, be sure to be in my suitcase then! :rotfl:

Ok...you're off the hook then...:rotfl:

Good Morning Everyone !!!! It's Friday !!! I get to have my DGD with me this weekend....looking forward to it. I'm thinking of taking her to see the new Pirates movie...I don't like going on opening weekends, but I want to see this movie so much. Been trying to buy tickets in advance, but have not been able to :confused3 maybe since today is the opening day, I will.

Have a great day and weekend.

We now have some details on the Fantasy. Some of it is a little annoying to me (all the boutique and dress up functions - unless it's inside the spa and not replacing other amenities) with such focus on nickel and diming (except this is more like 20 and 50ing :) ).

However I do like to hear that Animator's Palate will essentially have two shows now. Although I guess that makes it more difficult to select a Palo or Remy night.

Two new stage shows has some nice potential as well since I've seen all the shows, can recite many of the lines of the standbys and was NOT impressed with Toy Story. So it has potential...hopefully it will be more Hercules or Twice Charmed style with a good plot.

Anyhow - it's good to see details - just in case we were not excited enough about this cruise..

I read a blog posted by a travel agent from another agency (the link for her blog was not accepted on this board!) that has descriptions of some of the public rooms. I think I like the ones on the Fantasy better than the ones on the Dream. Maybe. Gee, would I rather be in a champagne bottle (Pink on Dream) or French boudoir (Ooh La La on Fantasy)?

I like Animator’s Palate's new show, cool! Agree, it will be trickier to chose night for Palo and Remy. I like Royal Court with inspiration from all the castles. I am hoping for something other than a chandelier made of glass slippers.

The Eurpopean skylines will be interesting. I like the European touches - Italian piazza, Irish pub, London club. This will be fun!

I have only cruised once on DCL, so any new shows will be fine for me. I just hope it includes classic themes. I need to take time in the next year and a half to watch the more recent movies such as Alladin.

I've read some things also...I'm so looking forward to it....I didn't get to any shows on the Wonder...really wanted to see the Golden Mickeys, but my girls and I had spa appointments (it was the only time we could get in together)...we did get to see Tangled though.

I have no real interest in going to Remy...but I would like to book a Palo lunch this time. I'm so glad this cruise is longer...gives me more time to do things and see the ship.....

The Irish pub sounds more my speed. Not any quibble about Remy or Palo. Don't do them.:) Time, patience, appetite, extra $$.

I don't drink, and therefore I don't spend much time in bars. However, the descriptions of the ones on the Fantasy are more appealing to me than the ones I saw on the Dream.

I hadn't planned to eat in Palo on my Dream cruise in February, but they had openings a few weeks before we sailed, so I booked dinner on Pirate night. It was well worth the $20 + tip, and I will probably book it on the Fantasy.

The shows have been my favorite part of cruising with DCL, and that includes the movies as well. If the new Aladdin show on the Fantasy is anything like the Aladdin show at Disneyland, I know it will be wonderful.

We saw the 10am show at Downtown Disney - it was a great movie! We enjoyed all of the action and it was more Jack Sparrow-oriented. I highly recommend it!!

Had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe - they had a new seafood menu with specials and it was delish :goodvibes

Today is my "Sunday" night since I work weekends............Sunday is then my "Friday" -- no complaints here!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Interesting that you think the bars look more appealing on the Fantasy compared to the Dream. The function is the same, just different decor. I really liked the Route 66 theme on the Wonder, but that for personal family reasons.

I do not drink, either. Not a fan of loud rooms or dark rooms. On the fourth night on the Wonder, I found the Cadillac Lounge with nice piano music. Wish I had discovered it sooner.

Best thing about any of these adult night places - no smoking!

I know I want to do Palo. People seem to rave about Remy and I think I want to go there. But $75, plus I miss a regular dinner rotation restaurant. Good thing I still have over a year to decide!

I didn't care for the looks of 687 or (especially) Pink on the Dream. I didn't see Skyline, as it was having a private event when I was on The Art of the Theme ship tour. I did like the looks of Meridian - between Palo and Remy. We had our farewell party for Lou's cruise in Evolution (nightclub), and that place reminded me of a cave...blech!

I like the idea of the Europa district on the Fantasy (http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/ships-activities/ships/fantasy/nightclubs-lounges/), with lounges themed after the London Tube, an Irish pub, Italian piazza, and French boudoir.

We booked Palo for Pirate night because the dining room was repeated the next night with its normal menu. I'm not sure how that will be handled on the 7-night cruise, but I would book again during Pirate night.

Interesting reactions.
The Wonder was the first ship for me. I didn't know what to expect so I was pretty much in awe of all of it.
I didn't especially like the pictures I saw of the Dream and had hopes I would like the decor on the Fantasy. The Pink champagne bubbles struck me as odd and way too feminine. I think the French boudoir is also very feminine (obviously!).
If Evolution on the Dream reminded you of a cave, what will the London Tube be like? The Tube is also known as the Underground, somewhat close to a cave!
No matter, I am sure I will be happy with the ship!

I am not into dressing as a pirate or eating with pirates. That would be a good night for Remy or Palo. But I do want to see the pirate show and fireworks!

Evolution was big and dark. If it had a theme, I couldn't tell you what it was! The London Tube lounge looks bright and fun. Yes - the French boudoir looks very feminine, but I think it is more attractive than Pink. I like the Irish Pub the best. If I start drinking in the next 18+ months, maybe I'll hang out there! :rotfl2:

The fireworks are a nice touch, but I wouldn't mind skipping the pirate show. I don't like crowds at WDW while waiting for the fireworks, and I don't like even closer quarters on a ship to see the pirate show and fireworks.

I would prefer there not to be a London Underground club as it's a bit close to my normal day of being stuck on a tube. On the other hand an Irish pub sounds like a good idea.
