And we have lost the WC final, hmmm that sucks big time but nevertheless we will survive it's only soccer.

And now i can go and follow the Tour the France......
I watch more sports then i sport myself

I hope everybody is enjoying their weekend? So after not being able to sell my car through Gav's work friend we put an advert in the paper (and website these days) and I had a couple of calls. Yesterday a family came to see it, they made us a good offer and it's sold
I need to practice a bit more in Gav's car (it's newer than my car was and I need to get used to not having to brake as hard and turn the steering wheel so much )

Congrats with the car being sold!!
You will get used to the car pretty quickly!!

Glad you were able to sell the car. You don't notice the steering & braking issues until you get in a newer car - I have experienced this myself a few time.

For those of you who are interested in renting a car for the week of the PCC, Enterprise is having a deal on convertibles for $99/week. I believe it HAS to be an entire week rental, less than a week does not give the $99 pricing. It's a pretty good deal, unfortunatley I'm afraid we will not have enough room for the 4 of us and luggage in a 2 door convertible. There are no coupons or codes needed to get this price, it just pops up on the screen.

Thanks for the info Andrea, that is a good price, but I am not a convertible type person.

My countdown says 150 days until we arrive in Orlando (on the 9th)
That is 3600 hours or 5184000 minutes and only 102 days left at work

I enjoyed our Evening Thread Chats prior to DAP. I would love to do that again soon. Unfortunately, I will be unavailable every night this week - as I am doing Vacation Bible School at my church each night after work.

Good Morning Everyone. I checked my counter this morning, and we have 149 days and a wake up before we leave for Orlando. The time seems to be going a little faster now that the numbers are lower....could be that it's summer and there's more to do...either way...it will be here before we know it. I spent the weekend with no internet. Finally got it up and running yesterday with a new modem/router. I hated being disconnected. My husband made fun of me. Especially Friday night when I was switching between my iPhone and Kindle. I told my Facebook friends that he accused me of "having the shakes" without the internet connection.

I wimpled out on the film festival last night. Saw three movies. At 8:30, I wasn't up for the 9:15 film that would get me home until 11:00.

It is tiring sitting in theaters all day!

Just got back from DS doctor. Hand surgery is healing well. He got fitted for new splint. Goes back in Aug.

Last night DS13 decided to make some of that Velveeta mac that comes in the microwave bowl...well...he somehow forgot to put the water in I smell smoke, go towards that end of the house to find the livingroom and kitchen full of smoke. Luckily it hadn't caught on fire, just melted the bowl, mac noodles were black, son sitting in the livingroom on the computer oblivious to what is going on So once we got all the smoke cleared I realized everything now stinks. Used crushed charcoal to soak up the lingering smell overnight (worked quite well!). Now I get to spend my day washing the walls, ceilings, floors...fun fun...is it December yet?

Yesterday a family came to see it, they made us a good offer and it's sold

I think the internet has replaced the phone and TV nowadays as being an essential service. One can go without TV or a traditional phone for a while ... but the internet - vital!

Congrats on surviving - I think I would have resorted to going to a libary or internet cafe!
