EGADS!!!!! That is some nasty looking food!!!! Is that what the world thinks Americans eat?!?!?! :confused3

Sierra Nevada, Sam Adams, and a Bugle snack like product. Looks pretty darn good to me. :thumbsup2

Oh, gag me with the tube of ketchard / mustup.

:rotfl:

:laughing: We have Aldi here, too.:laughing:

:thumbsup2

Um yeah - sorry :flower3: Well at least it's the sort of tings you can buy in grocery stores and fast food places have pretty bad food. There are a few good restaurants around here that do decent food, it's not quite the same tho.

I'm cracking up at the "American" food being sold in the UK in honor of July 4th. There are so many things wrong with this picture (including the yucky looking representation of American food) that I can't even begin to list them!

:rotfl:

I know some things do look bad, I'll let you know what we think of it (there are some things there I wouldn't eat!)

I feel the need to speak for my countrymen - we do NOT eat hot dogs out of a jar! :scared:

:rotfl: I tend to prefer to cook them and eat them in a roll ;)

It's not all bad, yeah I've never heard of those weird mixtures, I will not be trying those :scared:

Well, don't we? Come on, tell the truth.
I am sure you or someone you know have eaten most of those foods!

Nope, never eaten hotdogs in a jar or prepackaged pancakes. And I am pretty sure I have never eaten instant soup mix.

Now, if they had Lucky Charms, Eggos, Tootsie Rolls, and Manwiches, I would be all over it. ;)

:lmao: I'll let you know how some of it tatses, apart from Tootsie Rolls the others sound good :goodvibes

I think I have seen the Hotdogs in a Jar along side the Pickled Pigs Feet in a Jar. I have had Prepackaged Pancakes - food service style - not very tasty. Instant soup - only in meatloaf used as seasoning. I agree with George on the Tube of ketchup/mustard mixture :scared1:

I looked at the ad closer, they also have Ketchup/Mayo in a Tube and Mustard/Mayo in a tube to go with the Ketchup/Mustard in a Tube to use on your Jar of Hotdogs.:lmao:

When you spend time living in Europe (not as tourist), you learn to eat differently.

(And crave things like mac-n-cheese and kool-aid. Had to have care packages sent to us.)

Those 2 in 1 sauces are really freaking me out :scared:

I have never had hot dogs/vienna sausages in a jar, and it's pretty safe to say that I never will

Happy Friday!!! And thank goodness.

We did end up seeing TS3 last night. I laughed. I cried. I cried some more.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Wasn't it incredible!! :thumbsup2

Happy Friday!

Just thought I would stop by and say hello. :wave2:

Hi Ann!!

That's cool.
If you find yourself with a few hours to spare maybe we can get together.

Just a teaser....our view from the dining room.

Wow gorgeous!!

The Taste of America food is hilarious! Since when do we eat Roasted Onions to flavor our salads and favorite dishes. I like the BBQ Marshmallows too, why can't they just call them marshmallows? :confused3

You know it's funny how we comment on the food differences between us and Europe when there can be just as big a contrast between the North and the South, East and West, here in the states. It's really all about learned taste.

My favorite burger condiment is ketchup (or chili sauce), mayo, and onions, or ketchup, mustard, and onions. So I could do the tube of both on a burger. But that's it!

Hot dogs or any meat floating in a jar is too much lab experiment to me. Straight from Muppet Labs I don't do. :)

Come to think of it, when I go to Burger King, they do put mayo and ketchup on the hamburgers and I do like it... I think it's just that fact that they are both in the same tube. It just doesn't seem right, lol.

I like to dip my French fries in ketchup.

According to the rules to eating healthy, ketchup is usually too high in sugar and calories. Mustard is recommended over ketchup or mayonnaise as it is lower in calories.

So I have started using a mix of ketchup and mustard. I might like the mix in the tube!

I make my own mac and cheese, you can get it in a tin here but it's very bland.

I'll let you know if the marshmallows differ from the ones we can get here. I've found the ones I've tried in America are more sticky, if that makes sense!

It's the same in the UK, north, south, east, west! Scotland ;)

I've never really tried ketchup and mayo together but I'd still prefer to apply them seperately!

With hotdogs I tend not to look at the ingredients, just cook and eat :lmao:

We get low sugar and low salt ketchup :thumbsup2

Goodmorning everybody!!!!

We have booked our flights and we are arriving back home December 10 and we have to leave for our real home December 27!!!!!!

The ADR's for Christmas are made, so we have food those days.

Now i can start planning the trip.
**Car rental: pricing doesn't come out sooner then October so that's no problem.
**Pre cruise stay: Probably going to book a stay at the Swan and if there is later on a very good deal we swap to Pop or one of the other all star hotels.
**Post cruise stay: Just have to give the final dates and then we are set for a vacation home.

Whoohoo it's getting close!!!
