Happy Monday Everyone!! I hope everyone had a good weekend.

Our 20+ day run of Hot & Humid 90+ degree weather is coming to an end today. Our temps are to be normal to below normal for the next week or longer. Bring on the 80 degree, low humidity weather.

Happy Monday All!!!!!

Surely going to be one of little work for me. Catching up on the boards from the weekend, couple with people popping into my office continually today. "Where's your mom?" Happens anytime one of us takes the day off.:confused3

Happy Million Mile Monday! :vroom: :vroom:

Sounds lilke a nice easy start to the week :goodvibes

Just realized...
Sometime this weekend I posted my 4,000th post! :cool1:

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Congrats :thumbsup2 Will it be 5,000 by the cruise?

I hope it gets better for you, we've had gorgeous weather for about a week now - sunny and warm, just wish I didn't have to be stuck indoors all day at work :guilty:

Waaaay too many too hot and humid days. I am glad you survived and still were able to keep up your walkig routine.

Enjoy the less humid weather.

Our weather was decent until the Florida style thunderstorm yesterday. Then it was super muggy. It felt like you were breathing sweat soup. It was gross.

Happy Monday folks! :wave2:

Totally off topic here, but my wonderful city is under seige.
It was a sad day for us.

Holy smokes! :scared1: That is just crazy

Oh well, we now have Wimbeldon I guess :confused3

So the person interested in buying my car came over and she's picking it up next weekend :woohoo: Got a bit of spending money now for December and will save quite a lot not having to service the car, get an MOT (it has to pass the MOT each year for emissions, certain parts of the car like winscreen, axels, tires etc. to ensure it's road worthy) and then pay the road tax for another year.

Andy Murray is looking good at Wimbledon - and I don't just mean his bow to the Queen :rotfl: He's been finishing everyone off in 3 sets and Roger & Rafa  have had tough starts. There is hope! :cheer2:

Good news on the car :thumbsup2 The annual MOT/DOT exams are such a crock for newer cars - I'd prefer the gov't just make me pay the fee rather than tax me and waste my time getting it done [end of rant] :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Make it a great week all! :goodvibes

cheers,

:woohoo: :woohoo: I may try and watch a bit of Wimbeldon, at least it's supposed to be a game of the ball being passed back and forth (unlike football which to me looks more like tennis these days :sad2:)

New cars here only have to have a service/MOT after 3 years I think? Without an MOT here you cannot tax your car - which then makes it illegal to drive. The tax people check a database to see if an MOT has been carried out.

Oh, yuck!
I had that when I was living in New Jersey.
And the week I was in Fort Lauderdale in July.
YUCK!!!

We have had several days in the month of June when it felt like this at 5:30AM in the morning.

Hello All! It's a hot humid mess here in NC. Currently at 82 degrees with an expected high of 98! :scared1: I'm soooooo looking forward to Wed when it's going to be 84! :lmao:

If I was at least on the cruise I could walk around in my tankini without weird looks. :rotfl:

Hello Everyone...seems like most of us are having the same type of weather...We've had almost 2 weeks of very hot temps and muggy conditions...just a couple more days, then a cool front comes in and should lower the temps to the mid 80s......Here's wishing everyone a great week !!!

163 days....113.5 scheduled work days and then it's off to Florida for a week of fun.....

Hoping everyone gets a chance to cool off soon. Can't complain here :goodvibes it's beautiful, last few summers have been wash outs

And it's like that right now in New Jersey! :sad2:
Very hot, VERY humid.

We are having our windows replaced throughout the house today and tomorrow- 2 of the hottest, muggiest days of the year so far. It's humid (and buggy) in the house now- more to come tomorrow.

My sons are both camp counselors and camp started today. I'll bet all the kids and the counselors are a big pile of sweat by 6pm. :headache:

Yuk! Sounds horrible. Hope the boys have a good time at the camp :cool1:

We have a German super market (grocery store) who has introduced their American range in time for 4th July :cool1:

We may stop by and see what they have

Even I went in the lake on days like this. :scared1::scared1:

166:
•Days until "Fun on a Boat!"
•Atomic number of an element temporarily called Unhexhexium
•The Kalamazoo River in Michigan is 166 miles long
•Luxembourg ranks #166 in world population
•Bugs Bunny starred in 166 Warner Bros. cartoons from 1940 to 1964
•U.S. Route 166, a 166-mile (267 km) east-west highway which runs from South Haven, Kansas to Joplin, Missouri
•The Flintstones ran on ABC from 1960 to 1966 for 166 episodes
•Growing Pains ran on ABC from 1985 to 1992 for 166 episodes

I'm cracking up at the "American" food being sold in the UK in honor of July 4th. There are so many things wrong with this picture (including the yucky looking representation of American food) that I can't even begin to list them!
