Goodmorning everybody!!!!

We have booked our flights and we are arriving back home December 10 and we have to leave for our real home December 27!!!!!!

The ADR's for Christmas are made, so we have food those days.

Now i can start planning the trip.
**Car rental: pricing doesn't come out sooner then October so that's no problem.
**Pre cruise stay: Probably going to book a stay at the Swan and if there is later on a very good deal we swap to Pop or one of the other all star hotels.
**Post cruise stay: Just have to give the final dates and then we are set for a vacation home.

Whoohoo it's getting close!!!

Hey there, good to see you on this thread again :goodvibes

You spend more time away from your real home than at it don't you??? :lmao: Ahh to have the vacation you guys have!!! Looking forward to seeing you both again and very soon:cool1:

I know, I thought we did well with 25 days each a year  (and I've only just got 25 days, I had to work for 3 years to build those up!)

I make my own mac and cheese, you can get it in a tin here but it's very bland.

:thumbsup2

Usually, I do too. But every once in a while gotta have the blue box...especially since kiddos were younger then.

Many things in a tin ARE bland. Good thing I use plenty of spices.

Having the many vacations days is good. Even better, having the money to take these amazing vacations!

I got three weeks vacation after three years. That is the maximum we get. I have been at the same job for 18 years!

I wish we could get a good mac and cheese mix here - I've tried an American 'box' of mac and cheese and it was yummy!

What brand do you recommend? I may bring back a few boxes :lovestruc

I know, we really can't complain compared to you guys  The trouble we have as you say is affording to go somewhere! We really need to get some home improvements done at home but all these vacation oppertunities come up and I'd rather spend the money on that

Goodmorning everybody!!!!

Morning everyone  so busy here today I started work at 8am and haven't stopped until now!

Hope you all have a great day :cool1: :cool1:

Good Morning Yvet & Becky

I accrue 23 days a year Vacation after 22 years at the University. However we can bank up to twice what we accrue in 1 year to a total of 46.9 days before we start losing days. After December, my banked days will be completely depleted and time to start rebuilding.

I know, we really can't complain compared to you guys  The trouble we have as you say is affording to go somewhere! We really need to get some home improvements done at home but all these vacation oppertunities come up and I'd rather spend the money on that

I know the feeling... mine was home improvements or DVC - guess what won out.

So Scotland is your Texas? ;);)

My time stamp says that its 6:20 something...but I am guessing with time zones it was 11:20 something you got a break?

Yeah Scotland is our 'other' Only joking, but they have quite distinctive food up there - deep fried candy bars and everything else!

Wow gone 11am before I had a break! It certainly didn't feel like it!

Happy Tuesday folks! Today feels like a good day. :goodvibes:goodvibes

:goodvibes Good for you, any particular reason or just one of those feelings?

Didn't know the photowalk had been planned, must check out the thread :thumbsup2

Besides taking vacation days and going places, we are enjoying the everyday joys of life.
This weekend, it was a really nice bike ride. And eating really nice meals at the tables outside the restaurants. Summer in Maine is short, we enjoy being outside. We also realize that being outside is a benefit of living in Maine where temperatures are not extremely high most of the summer days.

That's not bad Tracey, we're not supposed to carry over days but sometimes they will allow one or two days.

Yes our DVC payments do eat up a bit of our wages but it's totally worth it :cloud9: I think we're about half way through paying it off now (5 years and we got it in 2007) :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: It will be nice to properly 'own' it :wizard:

Just a feeling. The sun was shining when I came into work. The birds were singing a happy little working song when I airing the dogs. I got up without the alarm. Just feels like a good day. Oh, and I almost needed a coat this morning. That's Michigan weather for you. A sweat box one day, a refrigerator the next.

I spent time digging my Mum's garden (with Gav) and then cleaning my car!

I love eating outside, glad you've been able to enjoy that :goodvibes

One of those days when you could burst into song at any moment

I was doing ok until Gav told me the girl who was going to buy my car (we'd shaken on it at the weekend) is having second thoughts and may not want it now. Gav's collegue says she (his neice) has been persuaded by her boyfirend not to get the car (or any car) as the boyfriend hasn't passed his test yet and doesn't want her to be independant :confused3 I don't know why some people have to live their lives as if they're in a soap opera
If she doesn't get back to us I think we'll try the news paper as they have similar adverts for worse cars for more than we were going to sell it for! Could get another £100 :goodvibes

We were outside with the neighbors last night when the temperature dropped at least 15 degrees. We were all shivering, but no one would go inside - we had waited too long for it to cool off enough to sit and visit (and stop raining!), so we weren't letting a cold front scare us off!

I have a question for folks that fly Southwest and have redeemed their 'free' roundtrip flight because of their Rapid Rewards...

How long is it once you complete your 16th leg (8th round trip) before you can book your 'free' round trip flight? Are there any limitations? How far in advance do you need to book your 'free' flight?

According to my math, and assuming everything goes as scheduled, I will hit leg #16 with my return flight from the Wine and Dine Half Marathon.

Would I be able to book my airfare for PCC 2.0 once I return (10/4)? Or for Marathon Weekend 2011?

Thanks.:hippie:

Happy Tuesday folks! :wave2:

We have a German super market (grocery store) who has introduced their American range in time for 4th July :cool1:

We have an Aldi here too and get a weekly flyer from them but everything is pre-packaged so I don't shop there except for hanging baskets in late spring - great deals! :thumbsup2

The "American" food is hilarious!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Pre-packaged sourdough rolls and pancakes?!? :scared1: :scared1:

Well, don't we? Come on, tell the truth.
I am sure you or someone you know have eaten most of those foods!

:sad2: but I made up for it with multiple servings of Reese's PB cups! :lmao: :lmao:

pixiedust: So her BF doesn't want her to have a car until he passes his driving test? What a loser - she should drop the BF and pick up the car! :rotfl:

cheers,
:flower3:

Hey everyone!

Ketchup and mayo mixed together = Emma's special dip. She requests it when eating fish sticks.

Wow, actual cruise talk. Makes me all giddy!

Speaking of air travel. I jokingly mentioned to Chris about taking the baby and flying down and he and the big kids can drive in December. He actually likes that idea. Hmmmm..... :scratchin
