Other than Todd's post that had me reliving the horror Jen, this person took about 25 minutes just to update my res with flight info for DME. Nice person though just should not have taken that long.

I wanted to have him check some other things but did not dare ask.

Well, I am DISappointed in all of us. We have 5 months until the cruise, there are more staterooms booked than last cruise, and we are only on page 3?

But on a serious note 5 Months 3 Weeks 6 Days until PCC 2.0 and I am almost done with finals/ school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get Pumped this Summer is going to rock, and lead into an AWESOME winter (I have no idea how fall is going to be so I just left that out. Scratch that Winter doesn't start until after PCC 2.0) so. . . Summer will lead into an AWESOME Fall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with any exams and tests, I used to love this time of year - school nearly finished for the summer and just a few exams to sit

Happy hump day everyone - we might have summer here again today, it's nice and sunny Just wish I could be at home to enjoy it and not stuck indoors at work.

I have been fixating on Jet Blue. Woke up this morning with a thought that I should search other airlines.

So I log onto Expedia and do the mix and match game. I don't fly much. Does it work to use Expedia to get two different airlines coming and going?

I found a schedule that looks okay using two different airlines and price is in the okay range. Continental and United. Then I remembered bag fees would likely add another fifty dollars! I don't think I can do a two week trip with only a carry on bag.

I know I am too far away to drive. But I sure like not having to deal with airlines.

Any ideas about booking with Expedia instead of directly with the airline?

At this point for PCC 1.0, we were only on the second thread, young padawan.
I have faith that we will get chatty and all have a significant boost in our posting stats. And as Becx said, we have our own sub-form devoted to this sailing, so we have a lot of chatter already. But I'm always willing to add more.

I booked my flight down yesterday - I am still running possible scenarios for the trip home as Southwest has the absolute worst schedule between MCO & Louisville.

I have sometimes have found slightly better pricing through the airline. I use Expedia/Travelocity for research but generally go direct through the airline.

This is my last night to work for 8 night in a row!! Woo hoo!!!! I am actually on days for the rest of this week and all of next week until Saturday night. I am so excited to get to spend my evenings with my hubby again. And I have an entire weekend off with NO PLANS!!!! Woo friggin' hoo!!! We actually talked about finally finishing up the painting and the flooring in the kitchen. But we'll see how well that goes...it's only been 2 years since we started that project...

Why is it so hard for me to book an airline ticket?!

The arrival day is the problem.
Jet Blue get me in at 7:30 PM
United can get me to MCO at noon, but $50 more (baggage fees!)

The big question - I will have 14 days to use my WDW ticket. Will I go to the park on Dec. 4 or Dec 19? I can't do both.

Is worth the extra $50 to go to the park on the 4th?
Should I make the 19th "out-of-park" activity day - Beaches and Cream and resort hopping?

Decisions!!!

I am VERY confused - how is Southwest, honestly?

I think I broke the SW site - it isn't working anymore after I first checked the prices and schedule!

We SW - only trick is to ensure you check-in online close to 24 hrs before flight time.

It was giving me problems too, Andrea I must have checked the site after you I think it was all the Dis'ers Did you get your flights booked?

Hello Everyone. We got our flights today...good price, times and NON STOPS both ways. Yippie!!!! I wish the best of luck for all those still looking.

I got our flights booked too even tho it was the highest pricing on the way back, I didn't want to miss that flight since it's the last flight. $568 for both of us, not bad - I've paid more and less but the scheduling is great and they're non-stops so I'm I always choose the non-stops too even tho it means leaving work early to catch it I'm was when I saw they opened up a later flight for Dec - the last flight for earlier months is 6pm and that didn't work in our plans so the new later flight at 8:45pm is perfect!

Wish you guys could fly, too. How long of a drive will it be for you guys?

18 hours, give or take......

14 hours, here. But with 5 people, flying can be costly. Best to spend the $$ at WDW/DCL.

21 hours solo. Can't see any logic for me not to fly.

I only do this if absolutely necessary (e.g., the originating airline does not fly to my destination at any workable time vs. saving some $) and then I give myself lots of time in between flights. The caveat is if you book thru to your destination on one airline and something happens to either flight to delay you, they have some obligation to get you on the next flight to your final destination. If you book on different airlines, and you miss your 2nd flight for whatever reason (keeping in mind that your first flight might not just be delayed but cancelled - I live in a winter snowbelt so I'm very mindful of this), and you book with a different airline for your 2nd leg, you're at the mercy of the agent that you speak to so in today's air travel climate I think you're pretty well SOL.

So will you be using the high speed train when they build it?

Thanks for the health well wishes. Just spoke to my doctor and the good news is my spine is fine. Bad news is they still aren't sure what's wrong. They are treating it as a muscle spasm so we'll see.

As for the train I'm sure we will try it if it runs through NC but right now I don't see that in any of the plans. We love the train and have been using it the past 6 or so trips down to FL. It just saves me money and I don't have to drive or be bothered with stops for this or that. And it's overnight so the kids are sleep most of the time. Traveling with 8 (my mom, sister and nephew always travel with us) can get pricey to fly. For example we are paying $650 for RT train tickets for 8 of us in Sept. which would cost us around $1600 to fly! Do you KNOW what I could do with $1,000....

I did end up booking last night. The prices were OK, not terrific - $95/each way to and from.

We ended up with a 5:45pm flight out of LI on Friday the 10th, that way the girls can get a full day of school in, and we just head to the airport after school ends - with Jetblue I would have had to take them out of school early, and since I'm already taking them out for a week, I really didn't want them to lose any more school time.

The flight home is at 7:20pm on the 18th, which we have never done before. We always come home on a morning flight so when I asked Vinny last night which flight he wanted to take to come home, I was SHOCKED when he said the evening flight! I guess he wants to stay as long as possible in WDW also!!

Great news Andrea. $95 is decent. Ours was $154 and while higher than we are accustomed to, it was acceptable. We are just hoping for a credit.

Our flight back on the 21st is 7:20 as well.
