Did the tree appear suddenly? Jump out and attack the car?:rotfl:

Seems it was there when she got there, she should have known it was there.

Quite! It does make you wonder how some people get through life!

Well good morning everyone! We are back from our two week vacation to the happy place. We finished up at Vero Beach. I think I need to finish every Disney vacation that way. That was sooo relaxing. Nothing to do but sit on the beach or pool and drink beer or fruity drinks. Older DS took the sunscreen out of beach bag and I was too stubborn to go back to the room to get it. Needless to say I am paying for it ROYALLY! My back side could be no more red. Eeeeks! Dumb me!

Now I can focus on this trip. I hope everyone has a splendid Tuesday. It's Tuesday, right?!! I have to get back to reality. Trying to get all the sand out of my clothes. (Washer and dryer at the villa was full of sand. I wonder how often they have to replace them.)

Ouch - hope your bum gets better soon! I thought it was bad when I caught the sun on my back, but the rear end

Thanks, Becx! It's just that little bit from where the shorts end to the bathing suit bottom. Some VERY virgin skin! Oooch!
How is all in the UK?

:sad2: Sounds like a drama filled weekend! I hope you get a break from the heat at some point!

Well at least we can all look back on it and laugh one day.

She was just SO upset because it's a newish car, and I'm guessing that overtook her emotions. It's funny because the first thing she said to my father when she arrived was that she hoped no birds pooped on her car because she just washed it - like he had any control over that........see what happens when you worry about nonsense!

Get your dining ressies now before it fills up!

I am afraid I am guilty of making multiple reservations. But I will cancel the ones I do not need in plenty of time for someone else to get them.

I made reservation for four at Les Chefs de France on Saturday, December 11 at 5:20. Would anyone like to join me?

Howdy peeps. Alicia's car is in the shop, transmission went! :headache: Sometimes money flows out of my pocket like water. Oh well, what are you gonna do. Very hot here today. They say it may break the record in NY. Hope everyone has a great day! :goodvibes

Ouch  I hope it didn't affect your vacation - nothing worse than walking around with sun burn!
It's lovely weather wise here, been sunny and getting close to 30 degrees. Not too hot but it cools off at night too.

It's totally not worth stressing over these things (although it does get to you sometimes!) there are far worse things in life!

Happy Tuesday Friends!!!

Hot here as well. Especially since our central air poo-ed out. Got up to 96° yesterday in my house. (Where's the 'I'm sweating my naughty bits off' smilie?) Today is supposed to be even hotter. Yuck. Oh well, this too shall pass.

I would be checking into a nice cool hotel with room service.!!

Seriously Todd that is dangerous to stay in that kind of heat, please be careful we don't need you back in the hospital again now do we??

If it wasn't so very hot, if it was winter - then your money would not flow like water, it would freeze and stay in your pocket!

Hey everyone! :goodvibes

We had a great weekend with family and friends and I am now finding it hard to get motivated today. :surfweb: I told DW (Jennifer) that I wished we lived closer to WDW so we could sneak away for a quick trip. I need a dose of my Disney medicine to get me going but that will have to wait until December. :hyper:

We are used to the heat as our houses are built for it, so I send my sympathies to the folks in the Northeast as this is some unusual weather for you. :sunny: Stay cool and stay safe.

- Bill

Hi peeps. Hot day and nuts at work. Glad to be in AC today. :)

Sad to say, I will no longer be on this sailing. Life gets in the way.

Hope to make another one someday!

:sad1: Sorry to hear this Mindy. :sad1:

What's up George? Grilling out?

Not last night Aaron but hopefully tonight unless the heat gives me the beat down.

I couldn't think of a better place to make my 9,000th post!:yay::yay::yay:

Congrats on the posting milestone Jeff. :thumbsup2

Happy Tuesday folks! :wave2:

We took the water taxi over to Atlantis - a tour guide jumped on and gave us a running commentary the whole way, pretty funny so it wasn't hard to part with a tip to the self-proclaimed, "entrepreneur". We checked out the casino & shops too, and the aquarium is pretty amazing. After we were done, we just caught a cab to the Queen's Staircase, etc. Easy peasy. :cool2:

cheers,
:flower3:

Hey Karen. I hear you want to take a taxi but not the water taxi. Think SS Minnow.

Sorry to hear that Paul. Bites for sure.

Were you planning on getting a passport for the cruise?

Passport fees are indeed increasing effective July 13, 2010 - that's one week from today. Books go from $75 to $110 for adults and from $60 to $80 for minors; cards go from $20 for adults to $30 and from $10 to $15 for minors. Execution fee is still $25. Need addition visa pages in your book? It's free for now; it's $82 starting July 13.

I took the opportunity to visit my G-pa in the hospital. Certainly air conditioned there. The pups are at home though. I left a block of ice and a bowl of water and the fans on where they sleep. They're odd though. Yesterday, even in 90°+ heat, they still went and laid in the sun to soak it up. Don't they know that causes skin cancer?;);)

Holy crow. That would have been $165 instead of $120. Pretty expensive. Although not entirely necessary. I like to have it when going to Canada as it makes crossing much quicker. I didn't need it on the cruise though. Although I did enjoy finding the immigration man to stamp it. He seemed quite pleased that someone had come to seek him out so he may do his job.:goodvibes Its good to have a purpose.

Passport not necessary for cruise. But it is required to go to Canada.

I like going to Canada! They talk a different language, so it is just like going to a foreign country. Does it feel like that when you go to Toronta?

I always travel with a passport. Since it is good for 10 years it makes it $13.50 a year.

And as my father always said "Always have a current passport because you never know when your going to have to leave the country in a hurry!"

My idea, always have a passport because you knever know when someone will invite you to an exotic place.
Didn't even think about needing to leave the country in a hurry! :scared1:
