making bbq sauce and salsa , i'll be cooking sauce for the next 36 hours or so,,lol,,

I'm impressed!! I made Salsa... no I attempted to make Salsa once.... a long time ago... we worked so hard, chopped our little fingers off practically... and our jars never sealed

Is the BBQ sauce smokey, hot, sweet? I went to Buffalo Wild Wings the other night and fell in love with their honey barbeque flavor... it was yummy.

mines definately a sweet kc style sauce,, i';ll use a half gallon of honey, and 3 or 4 lbs of brown sugar in this batch.

its the weekend,, i'm breathing,,there fore,, yup i am bbqing. later, actually rightnow i am making a batch of sauce, i started this morning with 30 gallons of fresh picked tomatos, i'm currently cooking down 6 ghagllons of crushed raw tomatos into paste/almost a ketchup, then i'll start adding spices and stuff and by morning i should have a bout 5 gallons of sauce, i should have put up about 8 gallons total of sauce, and two gallons of homemade salsa.

and probably a bunch of tomato juice, cause after we peel and core the tomatoes we cook down we run the left overs and extras through the juicer so theres no waste to speak of.

i have 2 pork rib end roasts, a beef rump roast, andf about 6 lbs of polsa keilbasa to smoke tonight for a meal tomorrow

I have this recurring nightmare.... I'm in the hospital visiting my Grandfather, who fell down a flight of stairs (He was visiting friends at their new house and he thought he was walking into a bathroom but it was the stairs to the basement) and had a horrible closed head injury. That part is true. Anyway, my dream is always the same. There is a person in the bed in intensive care next to my Grandpa and I accidently bump the bed... and... his leg falls off!!

The nurse comes in and says... don't worry, it happens a lot. He was in a motorcycle accident. She proceeds to put his leg back on. I've never been on a motorcycle, ever. This dream, however, haunts me to this day.

Chuck - it goes without saying... please be careful! We kinda like having you around!

I am very careful!!! and have been for yrs, I am too old to mind broken bones in a timely fashion these days

yeah the kids are salivating,, and dd's friend that is here does not like tomatos,, she even wanted to taste,, but the salsas still too thin, and the sauce is technically just cooking tomatos
