Steph-
How are you? Thank you for the notes the other night :) . How is work? Has it slowed down any?

I'm good! :teeth: Most of the fires here are under control, so work has slowed down alot. I worked seven days straight, took a couple of days off, then worked today. I'm going to take the weekend off because I don't have childcare. I can pretty much work all I want as long as the temps stay in the 100's and fires are breaking, and I wish that I could for the extra money, but I'm having trouble finding child care. It's tough when you have 3 kids!

I'm really bummed out today. My dh and I talked, and we are cancelling the Disney cruise we had booked for next March. The balance is due in December, and between taxes (also due at the end of the year) and Christmas, my dh would have to kill himself working enough overtime to make the cruise happen. I'm sure we're doing the smart thing, but I can't help but be a little disappointed about it. Having my cosmetic surgery took away from our extra money too, so it's sort of my fault anyway. I hope my kids forgive me! :sad2:

So what'd I miss today? This thread moves so fast I can't seem to keep up!

who keepsd up..lol.. just use your imagination and make things up, post about them, no one e ver knows...

I'm sorry about the cruise, but there is no way you should feel guilty about your surgery. I'm a firm believer that we Moms take a backseat alot and sometimes you need to do something that makes you happy and makes you feel good about yourself. You'll be able to make it up to them I'm sure. As for what you missed, give me a few minutes and let me see what I can come up with

Hi  . You're a lucky women, you have cute feet! I have these old lady feet with little dried up raisins stuck on the ends of them. and with that happy imagine in your mind... I'm glad you had a fun day, shopping is always good for the soul.

Thanks, Red. It was a fun day, and I actually also tried on some red shoes, too. :teeth:

this was also the first time in 11 yeras she has had both of her bio daughters together and at her house for her b day,, she really loved having them both here and doing things for her allday. altho by the end of the day she was really tired of candles,,lol,, the last 12 were on her cakes.

Morning all. I think I got a total of 2 hours sleep, I'm trying to wean myself off the Lunesta and so last night I had trouble sleeping. Also I'm running low on pain meds and can't get a refill until Monday so I'm rationing them and I hurt and I'm cranky and my house is filthy. I can't ask Dh to clean because he's worked late several nights this week and is working today too. I'll pay anyone $100 to come pick up my house. $200 if you bring painkillers with you.

LB--cute shoes and adorable dog! We are in the same boat you are. We are still waiting on money Dh inherited from his grandmother who died nearly a year ago. We finally got the stocks he inherited but there's about 20k in cash we are expecting that STILL hasn't shown up. I'm getting worried. That's our WDW fund. :guilty:

Is anyone here a Club Pogo player? My usual gin partner has dropped off the face of the earth and I'm dying to play!!!

Bonnie,
What's up with the cow? I'm a huge fan of holsteins so it's just an honest question, I promise.

I think my cow is AWESOME!! His spots are a map of the world. He is most convenient to keep in my siggy, in case I need to quickly locate Uzbekistan or something. ;)

I am no detective--never noticed that about the cow! :rotfl: Now I like your cow...wasn't so sure before. :teeth:

Shug, do you know about Flylady.net? I haven't been good with her system lately--fallen off the wagon, but some of the ideas have helped me a lot. A lot of the local areas have yahoogroups who provide local support, too, which is nice. Let me know if you want more info or check out the website.

Speaking of a disaster of a house, I need to clean upstairs and I need to clean my kitchen. I've been pretty good everywhere else, but those places have taken a hit. Clutter is my enemy and I have a counter in my kitchen that accumulates it, so need to work on that. I think my DH is going to clean our bathroom, so I'm off the hook with that.

I am VERY familiar with flylady. There is tons of good advice on that site. I had to unsubscribe though because I was getting like 10 emails a day from them! It got very annoying. This was a couple years ago though, so maybe they have changed their ways. I still go on the site and read sometimes though.

Oh yeah, I know the flylady well. It's just with the surgery I haven't been able to do anything lately and it's gone to hell in a handbasket :rotfl: It doesn't help that I just don't feel up to doing it yet and it's really bad already. I can't put it off anymore and I don't have the strength yet to do much about it. I too quit the flylady program because of the constant emails.

I subscribe off and on and when I do, I don't read the actual e-mails (once I'd read them a few times). I just read the titles, which would be a reminder for me to do what I needed to do. I like the local yahoogroup more than flylady, actually, but I haven't been active on that lately (which is bad because I'm a moderator  ). I need to get back on that and catch up, but I've felt so not with it at far as my home lately I haven't been motivated, but that's all the more reason to be involved. Vicious cycle! :rotfl: And the reality is that my home really is in wonderful shape compared to a lot of people in the group, but I look at it under a microscope.

Good Morning Sunshines :sunny: I have a dumb question for you all. Does your phone still work when you lose your power :confused3
