:rotfl: Sorry, Froggy! I'll be sure to refer to my cow as "she" and "her".

And BTW, I liked the birthday pics. It sounds like you guys really made her day special! Maybe you could give my DH a few pointers.

Hi all :)

Bonnie I love your cow map!

Froggy your daughters did a great job with the birthday cake! I still remember the first (and last) cake I tried to decorate. There was more icing on me then on the cake

Hi all! I'm sitting at my desk at work. I've been here since 9:20 AM. I'm leaving at 4:30, so I've got 4 more hours to go. But the boss is ordering pizza for lunch! Yeah!

Hey everybody,
Just a drive post for me this A.M.

Froggy- That's so cool that you made your wife's birthday so special. Tell your DDs, great job on the cake.
Chuck- Sorry that the Rum is gone :guilty: , maybe you could settle for some fruity drink with a parasol.
Missy- Hope the day goes fast, save some pizza for me.
Bonnie- That is one special cow, I now know where to go when I have geography questions.
Shug- I'm sorry that you're still hurting. How's Petey doing lately?
ANGEL- Any fun plans this weekend? or are you still recovering from your week?
Steph- I'm sorry I didnt get back with a run down from yesterday, I didn't feel like I could measure up to yours the other day.
T&B- Is it a quiet day at your house?
princess pooh- How are you doing?
LiteBrite- How did dorm shopping go?

Have we still not heard from Becky? I hope she's alright, maybe she is feeling better and doing all the things that she couldn't do with she was sick.
I'm going knick-knack shopping. Wish me luck. We built this new house and I still don't know what I want to do to decorate it. I just don't have an eye for things like that, so I need some inspiration. You know how you walk into a house and look so cute and pulled together. Well, mine needs alot of help in that department.

Howdy y'all :smooth:

Still no word from Mama Becky? I hope we hear from her soon - this is worrying.

Dorm shopping was good, we didn't come close to finishing, though. She and her roommate have divided the buying of stuff into these categories - Molly buys "decor" stuff and roomie brings appliances. So, we got a shower curtain and rug and some plastic dishes and glasses so far, as well as bedding (but that's just for Molly - roomie's on her own for that). We still have a lot of storage and cleaning and other practical type stuff to buy.

The shopping extravaganza continues, however, as we went and bought Molly a used car this morning. She and I have been sharing a car (which translates mostly to she has had sole control over my car and I've been lucky to get it twice a week), but now she has her own old Chevy Blazer and I get my Maxima back! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Good luck with the knick knack shopping, Red. I am also challenged in the "pull a look together" department, but we've got so much assorted stuff that we've assembled over the years that we love, I guess we've got it covered. The kind way to describe my decorating would be "eclectic". :lmao:

BB, I missed the beginning of the cow discussion - is that really your cow, or is it just your picture of a cow? Whichever, I'm totally in love with that bovine. (T&B, never mind about whatever reply you've got bubbling in your head about that remark.)

Angel, if you have one of those old-fangled phones that only plugs into the phone line, as opposed to requiring an electric plus as well, the phone should still work in a power outage (unless the phone lines are down, too).

Well, I keep hanging out on the DIS :surfweb: in an effort to avoid the inevitable, but I really need to go do housework now.

You guys try not to have any fun until I get back, Ok?

I call you Steph and the other one Stephanie, to keep you both straight. As far as I know, you are both straight. Which explains why luv hasn't been here lately. :lmao:

I've been getting some dreaded housework done today. Now I need to go to the grocery store, which I'm dreading more than the housework.

I need to call my DD since she didn't call me when she got to her destination last night (or early this morning). Guess she doesn't feel the need to, since she's 18yo and all. She's really not high on my list of favorite people right now--could you guess? Just seems like common courtesy to call and let someone know you got in. She was supposed to call our cell phone and leave a message, which was on vibrate, when she got in if everything was ok. If there was an emergency of course she could call the home phone. Get this--my DH was going to turn the ringer off in our bedroom last night. Before going to bed I asked him to make sure the ringer was on and he said, "You mean off?" in a sarcastic tone of voice... "We don't want her calling us and waking us up!". Uh, I told her to call us on the home number if there was an emergency. Afterall, we wouldn't want anything to disturn his sleep! :rotfl2:

I don't even have a list of favorite people. :sad2:

 Hey, you're on my list! :teeth: I told that to someone the other day and they didn't bother to ask which list! :lmao:

Stephanie, Happy Birthday! You don't look a day older! :rotfl:
