My DH and I went in October 2004 without our kids. It was a wonderful trip, it was so fun and in the same respect I missed my boys dearly. The trip was nice for the pure reason that it was great have a break and be someone other than the boy's Mom for 5 days. I think it's very very important for parents (especially Moms) to have a little down time and enjoy something that is all about you. I came home feeling so refreshed and ready to battle everything my boys could throw at me. So, although I might be cussing you under my breath- I'm excited for you and I hope that you have a great trip .

T&B--that comedy warehouse story was quite funny!

L/B--we were originally set to go the last weekend of Sept too, but I listened to rumors on the Rest board about crowds and got all freaked out and changed my dates. Then when I went to change some PSs even though the rest board was claiming everywhere was full for all of Sept and I had no problems getting any times I wanted even at Le Cellier and Artist Pt, I decided the folks on the RB were paranoid and I should have left my ressies as they were. You will have to tell us how crowds are.

Merle, I would go crazy (ier) having to talk on the phone so much. Why do people wait so late to find care and what would they do if you were filled up?

Cry! And then ask me what are they supposed to do. Not my problem lady. I can't understand it myself, especially those that were in the program last year and were allowed to register in March.

I was out having fun back to school shopping with my three boys. Spent $240 at Kohl's and that was with the tax free shopping starting today for clothes. Then went to Staples and Target for school supplies. I had to take migraine meds before going and I ended up pushing myself too much (still not feeling well). Everything took about 4 hours. But at least we got what we needed I think.

My MIL will be ok - thanks for asking all - she should be home by the end of the week. She had surgery, went home, had complications and had to have it AGAIN.....but that's all done now.

The $240 was only at Kohl's and I don't even feel that I bought that much. It's not as if they needed wardrobes or anything. Got all of them shoes and also Zach dress shoes, so those add up. None were expensive, but still. Jake is happy because I bought him a Redskins jersey. It was on sale and there was a stain on it (I hate to think what it was--looked like dried blood , but I really couldn't tell, BUT, the lady told me that I could return it if it didn't come out and that she'd give me 50% off the sale price. Well that was a no brainer for me. Brought it home and it came right out. $15 for the jersey--Jake's happy, I'm happy, Zach's happy because now his little brother looks cool... .

Oh, and $80 for Staples/Target. And that included shorts and a shirt for gym for Zach, so not too bad. I'm glad that I didn't bring Alyssa--that would have put me over the edge.

I hope my antibiotic kicks in and I'm over this strep soon. I'm really getting tired of this. At least I know what's going on now and that it's not my imagination. I was starting to wonder what my problem was and why I was getting so tired so easily. I'm usually too high energy for this.

Just got back from bringing my teen son to his internship and doing one errand. Need to do more later, but trying to break them up today and not overdo it like I did yesterday.
