Wow I thought you were all being held hostage somewhere! It's so quiet today - hope you feel fetter soon T&A! :goodvibes

Hey everyone,
I'm on a cleaning kick today. So that pretty much means that we will need to leave the house in the next few hours to keep it that way.
snowwhitesmom- I'm glad your MIL is going to be alright.
T&B- I'm so sorry that you're still not feeling great. Thank you for the information on The Melting Pot. It sounds really good.
Angel- Good afternoon (I'm never going to able to greet you first, I've decided to set my sights a little lower).
Merle- Have the phone calls slowed down a little?
imsorry- Thanks for the breakfast.
Cantw8- I've missed you. My birthday is coming, what are you getting me? (insert shameless plea for a graphic here)

OK, I'm stressing here. I think that punkin and Merle might be able to identify with me. Maybe Shug, but not sure. This is really serious, folks. :sad2:

I just read that our Giant grocery store is changing the date if the sale circular. Instead of Sunday to Saturday like it's always been, it's now going to be Friday to Thursday. I would usually go on Saturday before it ended and if I really had my act together, especially during the school year, I would go on Friday. Safeway's sale ends on Tuesday, so I would go there on Tues, so I was going there halfway between Giant, which worked out well. This messes up my system. Told you this was serious. :sad2: Even Zach is talking about it, wondering how this is going to play out.

OK, time to head to Giant to pick up cookie making stuff.

Hey everyone - just checking in! I'm going to sit down for a while and try and get caught up on everyone - this might take a while!

Hi Steph! good to hear from you!

Oh, speaking of catching up--Merle and Punkin (and anyone else who knows her), in case you haven't heard Justine, ie Justhat, had her baby not long after our DIS meet. Her little boy was born about a month early, but he was huge. I think she said 8 pounds. Everyone is doing well.

punkin, any word on the job?

Steph!!! How are you!??

I'm (we) are doing much better! :teeth: School's back in, and I've spent the past couple of days organizing and cleaning my house. I've found that it's easier to just pick ONE room, and stick only to that room until it's done, then move on to the next thing. I think once I get my entire house in order, I can concentrate on things like going to the gym, scrapbooking, all the other stuff I'd like to get done during the day. I have no motivation to do anything when my house is a mess! It's a slow process, but throwing stuff out and giving stuff away is so liberating! I've been using freecycle.com to get rid of things that I no longer want but are too nice to toss, and I've had alot of luck with them. Well, I'm off to take my son to kindergarten!

So, are you OCD about your errands? In a "Rainman, 4 minutes to Wapner" kinda way??? :rotfl2: I shouldn't make fun, once I make plans, DON'T CHANGE THEM ON ME!!! It stresses me out. I live and die by my dayplanner and I DON'T like crossing things out, it makes it all messy looking. Unfortunately, I'm not as anal about my house staying tidy looking :sad2:

Hey Steph,
I totally understand the nothing gets done until the house is clean issue. Right now I have a few (okay many) little projects that need to be done. But I'm holding out until September. Zack starts preschool three days a week and I know that I'll be able to accomplish more when he's off to school than I'm able to do now. How is kindergarten going?

Hey Shug!
How are you feeling? How's the shoulder doing? I stopped using a day planner for the very same reason, a wipe off board on the fridge works better for me now. It stays neat and tidy and I still get the rush of being able to cross things off the list.

I had special days for each errand but then all H$** broke loose in the form of a two and four year old. Silly boys do things like throwing fits that match King Kong and that throws off the whole to be done list of day- surviving the day and not taking the sweet little blessings in public becomes the only important things that have to be done. I'm the queen of being anal (imagine the crown that goes with that title :lmao: ), but the boys have made me become more of a fly by the seat of my pants kind of girl. It was not a willing journey, but sometimes I've learned you have to go with the flow (DH is always telling me to be more flexible, I think he means in the physical way but I tend to ignore his advice :rotfl: ). I'm so thrilled that Zack is headed to preschool in 10 short days though, it means that I can get back on my schedule some what. Good luck T&B.

A little bit, right now I am just trying to get caught up with the voice mails.

:rotfl: about the being anal part. I went to Giant on Saturdays for two reasons. The first being that I could leave Jake at home and go without him. The second was because my goal was to go on Friday, but I procrastinated for years and went on Saturday, so eventually Saturday turned into "the day", with an extra day thrown in sometimes when we needed something. Oh, a third reason evolved. If it was Saturday, sometimes my DH went instead of me. I don't always like him to go because he often screws it up--gets a bunch of things not on the list and doesn't seem to get the items on the list, so I have to look at the list and weigh if it's a list that would be something that he'd be likely to be able to handle vs how badly I want to get out of going. :lmao: I don't mind shopping when I'm actually there, but I dread going.

So I went today and am all prepared to go next Wed or Thursday. It's like jetlag--I had to jump in and get over it. :rotfl2: And of course I can still go on Saturday--it's not like the store is closed. It's just not the end of the sale. :teeth: I will be brave. :cool1:

I am very confused about why your day of the week has to change? I don't even have any other questions. I just can't wrap my brain around why it matters which day of the week the ad starts as long as the prices are still in effect the day you want to go. (Ever seen Moonstruck where the grampa cries at the end and says, "I'm so confused!" That is how I feel. :rotfl: )

Someday, AAngel, I am gonna beat you to the good mornings!!! :rotfl2:
I was just thinking about this in the night. (Man, I seriously need to get a life.) I was wondering to myself, "Gee, I wonder what time Angel gets up in the morning to always be posting so early." Angel, you can either be flattered that you are famous and I was thinking about you, or you can be creeped out that some woman in MN wants to know what time you get up in the morning! :lmao: Up to you! ;)

Julie that really made me spit out my water :lmao: :lmao: not creeped out at all!! I get up between 5:30 and 6:00 on the weekdays

Aha! Now I know and can put my mind at ease. :rotfl: Are you on the east coast? If so, that doesn't even qualify as morning around here. I tell my kids anything before 7:oo is still the middle of the night!

I don't have a clue--don't confuse me with facts! :rotfl2: I always go on the last day of the ad. Or maybe the day before the last day. I'm a procrastinator--this is what we do. Don't mess with my system! :lmao: Actually, it's good. It means that I can keep procrastinating and stop going on Saturday, which has been a goal of mine. :teeth:
