Hi guys--I am severly out of touch on this thread and don't really have time to catch up, but wanted to drop by and say hi. Briar and Phors, hope you have a good trip! I know it's coming soon. Or are you gone??? Froggy gone yet?? Seems I remember seeing his thread saying he was gone in 48 hrs and that feels like it was awhile ago. I am busy learning new curriculum and worrying that the history program I spent a bundle on is something I could have done on my own. Oooh boy.

Yeah, my son is bored out of his mind with the exception of Arabic. When we did his first set of spelling words, he asked if I was kidding. I think I'll have to go through and find things he will be bored with and X them out entirely. Ugh.
I leave tomorrow! I will try to have as much fun as possible.

Briar--have you heard of Spelling Power. It is a little pricey if you are not going to use it long term but you can use it at any level your child is ready for and they spend NO time reviewing words they already know how to spell. Let me know if you want more info. But prob after your trip!!

You started calling yourself "not Debbie"? I think Mom wanted to name you Debbie, but dad and her couldn't agree on the name. He didn't like the name Deborah--thought that the name had to be spelled Debra and he didn't want the word bra in the name. What did it matter if they were giving you up?

Psssst, I live near WDW (about an hour away).

I didn't go to Tipperary, but I saw the sign. We stayed with my MIL in Liscarney, which is just outside of Westport in County Mayo. Ireland is such a beautiful country.

How are ya'll doing? My big birthday is coming up this week, the last of the 20's. It seems crazy to me that the last nine years have gone so fast and so many wonderful things have happened. The adventures of the week include a trip to the dentist, we went to the pool this weekend and some crazy little boy jumped right on the top of my head from the steps of the pool- hit me hard enough that my whole right jaw is swollen and I have a huge blister type thing on my gum. It's driving me nuts so I figure I better have it checked out. The first soccer game of the season is on the schedule and I plan on milking the birthday thing all week long- so that's about as exciting as we get around here.

T&B- Please enlightening me about Bar Mitzvahs. I know very little about them and have always been interested in what they are all about.
Briar- Are you getting excited about the upcoming trip?
Teva- Are you going on the ladies trip too? If so now I have a reason to be jealous of you.

Shug, my DH and I are going out to dinner. Don't know when or where, but sometime and somewhere. Our DD is supposed to be watching Jake, but she is being a poophead today--LOTS of things and really driving me crazy, so it might be one of the boys watching Jake. She's been such a PITA today and it really has me down. Oh, and she has dry socket where one of her wisdom teeth was, but that's not why she's being difficult.

DM3, I read your other thread about your son's blood draw. Poor guy--what a bummer.

T&B- I can't believe you went to a fire and didn't think of looking at hot firefighters, where did we go wrong with you? Happy Anniversary.

Frog- your probably gone by now, but you sound just like my boss, she packs at the last minute too.

I leave in a little over 2 weeks. I can't wait, I need a break from these freaking phone calls. I was at training today and I came back to the office and I had over 70 missed calls and 49 voice mails. Oops make that 50, there was one that was a hang up. So far this month, in 16 days total I have had 275 voice mails total, yes I counted them, with 86 in the last two days alone. I access my voice mails thru my computer. And Lord only knows how many calls I have actually answered. This year we have had our front desk people take registrations, if not my voice mails would have hit over 500 by now. Last year we had so many in one week that about 100 of them didn't get answered, I just couldn't get to them.
