I tried on some of those fuzzy ones, Caro, but it's been way too hot around here lately for them. I did get myself a pair of the suede Alice ones (Mary Janes), and I lurve them.

Rebecca and I went out for our last minute gifts today. On the way I told her about my job, she was silent, I choked back tears. We both sat silent for what seemed like an eternity.
I turned down the music and said "hey chatter box, your silence is deafening"
she spoke with a crackling voice saying "mom, I am so sorry, I don't know what to say"
I said I understood and we continued in the horrible traffic. I would let people merge, slow down to let someone in and always smile and wave. Vow of jolly you know ;)
I wished everyone that checked me out a Merry Christmas, they were surprised and wished it back.
I held doors for people, and wasn't even bothered when they didn't even acknowledge me.
Knowing the next storm is coming we went to the store and bought baking stuff for tomorrow, we haven't baked in years!
And as we drove home, she turned down the radio, and said she admires me, she is proud of me, and that we will get through this, even offered to not go to the formal.
As we walked in, M was there with the biggest smile, and she asked him if he was going to have to work more. My heart sank, and without missing a beat, or a waiver in his smile, he said "honey with you I always have to work more" and we all laughed.
She looked at him and whispered, yes I heard, "Mom still has her vow of jolly, guess we better as well huh"
M looked at her and said "now more then ever halfpint"
I walked back to the car, we were unloading it, and said a prayer, to please never forget this moment, never let me forget how they lifted me up.
Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays friends:grouphug:

DH gave me my gift tonight. He gets massive bonus points and lots of eye contact for this one. He took the pictures from our April Disney World vacation and had them made into the most beautiful bound book. He did all the layout himself. He must have spent hours and hours and hours working on it. Now I remember why I love him. He knows my family and Disney are my two favorite things and he found a way to capture both in one gift. Even if it wasn't that expensive, I think it's the best gift he's ever given me.

So now I have the two kids in bed with me, knocked out, and I got to catch up here.

I was crying after Angel's story, then Lara's came and made me a big ole' mess.:sad1: :sad1:

And I will be 41 on Monday, so to me you are a youngin'! ;) :rotfl:

No I wasn't. Sorry. I had a Corona and a glass of champagne.

Your bday is tomorrow!!!!!!:yay:
Oh, and in my mind, you were drunk, and it took you a really long time to post this, so you were drunk and hungover. Sorry. Own little world here. :teeth:

Kathryn and I are twins now! She got fuzzy black Crocs tonight!

Thanks Angel, I will add that to my favorites. Amazon has one but it is almost double the normal cost.

How are you doing today?

Thanks Bomb and Teva..it's my fault since I waited so late, I'll just see what happens.

I just want to go somewhere warm in Feb. Can it Puh-leeeez be affordable? NO, it cannot.

Hey, kids. :grouphug:

Lara, I would faint dead away if I ever got such a sentimental gift from my dh. What a sweetheart.

I am an emotional mess this week. Not depression, really... just extremely sensitive. Happy things make me cry, sad things make me cry, sentimental things make me cry. I watched "The Notebook" last night and cried for over an hour (and I've seen it before and read the book). This morning my dd smiled at me and I cried again, thinking how beautiful my children are.

I don't know what's up with me. I get like this at the holidays, I suppose. Am I the only one?

Um, Robin, I am prepared to duck, but, sure you aren't pregnant?

Morning people. I'm having a bit of a tough time, I would share in the ch, but well, I think not.

Christmas is coming, right? Jolly jolly! :santa:
