Are you kidding? Tetherball has been proven to cause ADD because they simply can't follow the path of the ball, and memory problems because they end up getting hit in the head with the ball. It also causes kids to think that all balls have strings tied on them, thus on all state tests with questions involving balls, the kids get confused because they assume the balls are tied down. NOT TO MENTION the fact that some unlucky kids always ended up tied to the pole and having their tongues stuck to it in winter, so it encouraged bullying.

Tetherball is part of the organized downfall of our society, along with nearly all other children's playground activities and games. In fact, there is a new push to make toys illegal, on the grounds that they don't help kids with the new federal guidelines for learning, and that children should be given only test questions and bubble answer sheets to play with. The bill is being introduced by Senators Burger Meister and Meister Burger.
