Anyone who thinks you can't make REAL and meaningful friendships on a message board should have spent the day in my shoes. I have never been so suprised, so touched or felt so honored in my life. Tomorrow is a special day for me. The fact that it's special enough to my friends to go to that much trouble, even flying 1/2 way across the country well there are just no words... AND they were willing to wear paper tiaras in public too

Some days, when I feel lousy and I'm tired and I get down I wonder why I keep at it when it's still not a sure thing. You all are why. I love you guys

I wish I could have been there. I'm so close....yet I still couldn't make it

I am sleepy, Connor woke up at 3. I layed on his floor for an hour to try to get him back to sleep. It didn't work. So now I'm exhausted and sore. Pretty much everyone in the house is angry at me for being away yesterday.

You know, 4AM is not a good time to reflect on your life. Just sayin'.

Anyway, you all get a morning...no good today.

Off to go to work. Hopefully I will not bite anyone's head off today.

Well, at least you work at a hospital, they can just sew the persons head right back on!

Sorry they are angry, but as the monkey says. . . . You deserve a break girlfriend! Your DH is just as much of a parent to them as you are and if they had a bad day, then welcome to your world. He doesn't get to whine and complain (much) just because you took a much needed break for some Lara time. Getting away and having some fun by yourself is necessary to be a good wife and mother. Don't feel guilty.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when I hear someone say Dad is "babysitting". Um, NO! A babysitter is someone that has no direct responsibility for bringing the kids into the world that is doing you a favor. Daddy is not babysitting. He is doing what he is supposed to do. The same thing Mommy does. You make em, you take care of em. And Mommy deserves off time or she may just go off and strangle you in your sleep

Thanks for the support. I know I'm shouldn't feel guilty...gave DH a good dose of my every day. Had he actually tried to interact with them instead of plopping them in front of a TV, they would have been better behaved for him. Anyway, I'm predisposed to guilt...I'm trying not to be. I've pretty much agreed to give DH a vacation at home next weekend to try to make me feel better...I don't particularly give a rat's patootie about him at this moment.
