8/25 - 150 minutes total of upper body and walking
8/26 - 183 of lower body, pilates with a friend and then a very long walk to both the parks in my neighborhood
8/27 - 0, I was too tired after Friday!
8/28 - 94 of walking and biking
Side story about the race -
It was the Canby Dahlia Run (which runs through the Dahlia fields) so you get flowers at the finish line along with your medal. When I got to the aid station at mile 9, there was a little boy who ran up to meet me with a water bottle and said, "This is for you!" I said, "For me? I can keep it?" He nodded and I told him he was my new best friend. I figured it was a fitting vase for my finish line flowers. That kiddo made my day.
Finishing off the month with 86 minutes today bringing me to a grand total of 1503/1240!
Another personal best! This has been a great month. And it's thanks to all of you that I've been consistent in an exercise regimen in the past few months, something I haven't been able to accomplish in 5 years. These challenges keep me motivated to work out and push myself to do more.
Thank you @PollyannaMom for hosting this month. Love the "Please adopt me" Pluto pic.
I would volunteer to host next month but if next week's work schedule is any indication it's going to be a brutal month so it's probably not a good idea.
(That includes 30 walking minutes for me for yesterday.)
I want to thank a great team for working hard and getting all the way to goal this month!! - I've hosted four times over the past year, but this is the first team green I've gotten to report, and it was so much fun!
It looks like September is going to be a really busy month for everyone (no takers so far as the next host) so we may be taking a "fall break" - but keep up the exercising and enjoy the cooling weather!
(And if you've been thinking about hosting, but feeling shy about it - go for it!!! Now's your chance to be a hero!) ...............
I'll be back in the next couple of days to record the final day's minutes and tally up some stats. Congratulations, everyone!!
