pls. help clarify RO and S/P/D

Hi....Just want to be sure I am correct. We ( 2 Adults, 2 Junior adults-age 10, 2 kids-age 6)are staying at AoA suites 4/12-4/18. If the rumors are correct, I will be able to apply S/P/D to my entire trip being we are checking in on the 12th even though the offer ends on the 12th. But with the RO discount I would only be able to apply it to the night of the 12th, not the entire vacation. If this is true S/P/D would be a much better deal for us, correct? Assuming of course that AoA suites are not excluded.

Yes, you're correct. Assuming SPD works the same way it did this year.

If Room Only ends on 4/12 then yes, S/P/D would be the better option because it should carry through your entire trip as long as you check-in during that time frame.
But, pay attention to the dates for the Room Only - it may not be blacked out even though S/P/D isn't offered. We were in a similar situation this fall. Free Dining was blocked out during our check-in date but the room only discount was available. So, sometimes the room only is available even when a S/P/D or Free Dining is blacked out. For us, it worked out very close in price to getting Free Dining, but your travel agent or Disney CM should be able to run the numbers when the specials are released and help guide you to the cheaper option. Good luck - I know the waiting is awful!!!
