Pleasure Island, staying late how do we get home to FW?

If we take the bus over to Pleasure Island to go to the Wildhorse Saloon....when does the latest bus head back to FW campground? Will we get stuck there? Midnight wouldn't be so bad but we would hate to have to walk back to the campground!

Buses will run till 2am to ALL resorts including Ft. Wilderness. The last catch all bus leaves Pleasure Island about 2:15 am.

I have been on that last bus a few times. It's "interesting"

Oh, just an FYI, I don't think Wildhorse Saloon is open anymore. It was turned into a BET club, and then after that something more generic.

OH NO!!!! No Wildhorse Saloon?????? Do you know if there is a club with country music? I couldn't get my cowboy into any other kind of club for the world!!!

There is plenty of country music at Epcot. There's Mariachi Cobre at Mexico, Spelmann's Gledje at Norway, and many other "country" music performers.

Oh, you meant THIS country's music! Why Wildhorse was closed is a mystery to me.

Nope, no country at PI. Why you ask? No one ever went there after the initial couple of months, except for families with kids who hung out on the dance floor so adults who wanted to dance couldn't without tripping over the kids. The original plan was to atrract locals as well as tourists, but the locals stopped going fairly quickly because it wasn't the atmosphere they were hoping for.

There are a couple of country music clubs in the greater Orlando area, the one that I know of offhand is at the Kissimmee Arena. Sometimes HoB has country artists, check Pollstar.com to see if any will be performing while you are visiting.

As far as the buses, they run late into the night, and WDW will not leave you stranded, even if it means they load you into a security van and give you a ride back to your room. And CLKelley is right--that last bus is "interesting"

The last "official" bus is at 2:00am. Yes, there probably will be a 2:15 bus, but we're not supposed to tell you about it.

As for Fort Wilderness, never fear, there will be an internal bus that will be able to take you to your campsite as well.

Thanks for all your info. I guess we won't be going to any clubs to dance at PI unless they get some country music back in. Guess if we want to do that we will have to stop in Memphis or Nashville & do our dancing there. I've traveled around Orlando enough to know...#1 I do not want to rent a car & #2 I am not driving our camper around the city. So I guess we are out of luck on this trip!
Thanks anyway...we will have a blast & not even miss it I'm sure! This is DH's 1st trip to WDW, & my gadzillionenth (mother lives in Orlando so I can go anytime). My whole trip is revolving around him this time! Gonna be a blast!!!! The biggest thing he's ever been to is our state fair!
