Please tell me about OKW...

Thank you for starting this thread! I am staying at OKW in july becuse it was the only resort left when my extended family decided they wanted to go on their first WDW trip.

After reading all of this praise, I think i'm more excited about staying at OKW than my ressie for kidani village in December!

I am excited too. I hope it will be warm enough to go swimming in the pool!:cool1:

Thank you for this thread. We're staying here in October with a bunch of family, and it's our first time at OKW. I'm so excited now!

When are you going? From June through Sept. the water should be around 85 degrees so I wouldn't worry unless it's in winter.

We stayed at OKW and were really impressed with it. So much so that we booked it again fo rour December trip. The rooms are huge and the full size washer and dryer cam in handy when the Disney stomach bug hit us.:scared:

You don't have to worry about that because the pools are heated. The last two OKW trips for us were the week following Thanksgiving and my kids swam almost every day. If it's windy or cool it can be a little chilly when they get out, but the pool water is comfortably warm. We love our OKW home. We've stayed in GV and 2 br's every time we've been down and have never had a run down room. We've also never experienced any problems with the bathroom set up on the villas numbered lower than 30, just wasn't that big of deal.

You will love this resort. The decorations for the Holidays is spectacular and the overall ambiance of OKW is so relaxing. Great dining options are available as well. And the pool slide is a blast!!!

Good luck and have fun, you won't be disappointed!!!
