Please say another prayer for the PA coal miners...

will happen ......but then to have it actually happen......prayers for all the families of all workers everywhere....especially for these families too....

How sad...:( My prayers are with them and their families...

prayers for all the families with loved ones trapped and for the men that are trapped in there :(

And remember their poor, devastated families. This must be unbearable for them as well.........

I stayed up until after midnight following this on our local TV news station. At first they said 3:00 am, then the drilling really slowed down and they said 5:00 am. I was so sad to awaken this morning and learn that the drill had broken and the rescue had been pushed back so, so far.
Pam

I am praying that these miners are rescues safely. How terrifying this must be for them and for their families :(

I was terribly disappointed this morning to find that the drilling had been stopped during the night:( :( :( :( . I'd be happy to pray, but it doesn't appear that GOD has chosen to be of much assistance to these desperate rescuers:mad:

I will continue to pray for the miners, their families and all of the people involved in the rescue attempt of this very tragic accident.

Of course, if these poor men can be rescued, most of you will say:

"PRAISE THE LORD. OUR PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED" .

If they are sadly found to be dead, most will say:

It was just "THEIR TIME"; GOD HAS TAKEN THEM INTO THE KINGDOM

In either event, GOD is TRIUMPHANT (?)...........how convenient:mad:

God or no God, being trapped in a flooded mine shaft 300 feet underground must be a horrifying ordeal.

Several years ago we visited Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. While there, I picked up a book titled "Trapped! The Story of Floyd Collins". It chronicles the fate of Collins, an amateur spelunker who became trapped in a tributary of the Mammoth Cave system back in the 1930's, and the desparate, at times misguided attempts to rescue him. It was a gripping tale, and despite widespread publicity at the time, the rescue was ultimately unsuccessful.

I do hope these men have a better outcome.

Thanks for the link, Cathy, and here is another, MSNBC. My continued prayers are with these guys, their families and rescue crews. Such a hazardous occupation it is.

I heard about this very early this morning. Continued prayers for those workers and all their loved ones.

EROS, honey, I did say, IF you are so inclined. The drill bit broke, I don't think God did it, I think it was 100 ft. of solid rock. :(
CC

Cathy, honey, you're correct........I'm NOT so inclined.

I guess that GOD likes to take responsibility for the BIG MIRACLES but just isn't able to insure the simmmmmmmmmmple integrity of a drill bit................how convenient

Eros, this isnt the Debate board.

Since I am in Pa, I am following the story. I just rode through Somerset county on the way to Pittburgh a few weeks ago.

I am surprised that this kind of thing could happen in this era, it sounds like something that would have happened 100 yrs ago, not today.
