This has probably been mentioned here before, but I just read on Websleuths, that some people give thier kids Xanax to help them go to sleep :scared1: and they have been called Zanny nannies! :scared1: First off, I cannot imagine giving a child Xanax, but maybe - just maybe that is where Casey is getting the name Zanny from!

Please forgive me if this is old new - I had just never heard of that before!

Yes, this was brought up a couple of months ago somewhere on this thread & like you said on webslueths too.

I have not posted much of anything on here, but have been reading the posts to stay updated.
Just thought I'd share that when I was at the grocery store tonight, one of those trashy mags (can't remember which one) had a picture of Casey and Caylee on it and Casey looked mighty frightening in it. Something about her facial features just botherd me. The caption for the picture was something along the lines of "Casey plotted to kill parents next"
Thought that was interesting. Even if it was from a trashy mag.

Very odd. There is a news conference going on with LE. The same utility worker, who found the remains last week, went to the area and found more remains today. He went to the area outside the grid area that the LE was working and found additional skeletal remains. Reporters asked LE why that utility worker would have returned and found remains that LE did not find. LE said that the utility worker said he was curious. They will be following up on the situation to try to determine if the utility worker has any connection to the family.

The same utility worker called the crime line three times on three different days back in August. Seems really odd.

Odd is an understatement! Thanks for the update. I have the news on now. Thanks.

WTH???? Is this person a whacko? I can just see the defense using this-maybe he kidnapped her and etc. etc....

That does seem odd. Either he was obsessed with the case and wanted to find the child or he was after the reward.

Thanks for keeping us posted on the local news, Peg.

They said that the worker called to report something in that same area three different times in August. A deputy was sent to the scene. LE says they are looking into what happened. The reporter came out and asked if the utility worker could be a suspect. LE said they are looking into it.

I guess we should never assume things are cut and dried. I find it very odd that this guy, who claimed to have found the remains last week while relieving himself, had phoned the crime line about the same spot in August. When LE didn't find what he wanted them to find, did he need to find it himself to get them there? Who knows? This really opens up a lot of questions.

Wow If I would have found that I would never go back there again.
Something just dose not sound right with the utility worker.

Ron.

One of the people who searched the area says that the area was flooded back in August. He said there was no way anyone could have seen the remains there. A woman who searched in that area is claiming that there was nothing there in August because she searched that area.

This is really opening up a bag of worms. I'd really like to know what the connection of the utility worker is to the case. Is he just someone obsessed with the case? Inquiring minds want to know.

Makes me think reasonable doubt. Sorry, I know not a popular sentiment-but really; sounds interesting to say the least.

Wow....The same guy called in tips in August?! And they sent out a deputy?
Amazing how this gets stranger and stranger everyday.

Maybe though...the guy works in that area and he noticed something, they sent out a deputy, but nothing came of it and the guy was back in the area last week and just decided to take another look and found the bag? :confused3 I mean, yes, that is pretty odd, but if the worker is in that area alot, it could be. :confused3

My thinking as well. I'm not saying Casey wasn't responsible, but it does beg the question. Was someone else involved. Could this guy have been involved with her? I'd want to know who he is and how he managed to find remains that LE didn't find after searching that area so closely this past week. I'd want to know how he knew something was there to call the crime line three times when searchers couldn't even get into the area due to flooding. I'd have to have a some questions answered before I could convict anyone.

Should be very interesting to hear exactly what was involved with his original tips from August and what happened when the deputy went out.

You would think the utility worker surely would KNOW his previous tips were recorded and documented though...especially since a deputy was sent out. I wonder if he told police about his earlier tips on the day he found the bag? I hope he did and it won't seem like he was trying to cover those up.

Wow.....weird.

I was wondering if maybe it isn't Caylee after all, and maybe someone is using Caylee's situation & location to dispose of another child, but they did say hair, lenght & child's size matches. Also something from the scene connects back to Anthony's house, so I'll still think its her for now. But you have to wonder how this guy is involved.

Maybe he's obsessed with the case like many others & called in anything & everything?
Maybe after finding the remains, and the memory of it for that past week, he's felt drawn back to the place for some reason?

I do like Feralpeg's thoughts though on he had to find it for the police.

:sad2:

LE just came back on to say that the meter reader is not considered a suspect. He said that reporters have been speculating the possibility. At this point, he is not a suspect...just a concerned citizen. Still seems odd to me. :confused3

That's the first thing DH said when I told him a meter reader found the body. He said "now someone will probably try to say that guy did it". Poor guy, I'm sure it was horrible enough to find it, now some quacks saying he did it.

OMG what a shocker!

I cant see how he got back into that area. Isnt it contained? Sounds like a search warrant is in order for his house. I can not bring myself to think Casey is not involved though... brother sister insest, grandpa is the father of the baby, talking in code, pizza that smells like human remains, a nanny who doesnt exist, a compulsive liar, sighting in California and a partridge in a pear tree.

PUH-LEASE!
:headache:

No he didn't find anything today. They just announced today that he had made a report on Aug. 11,12, and 13.

Her name is Joy and websleuths has been onto her for awhile. She is a family friend of the Anthonys and also it is said that her husband is a PI for Baez (Casey's attorney). She has been on the news a few times claiming to be one time with Equasearch and another time with ChildFind. Those on Websleuths think she is just trying to cast doubt on the investigation.

I think he smelled decomposition back there and reported that, but that is just my guess. One of the neighbors to the crimescene had reported a smell also back in July.

This is what I was thinking too, but if two different people call in because of a terrible smell there and it is SO close to the Anthony home, water or no water, wouldn't that area have been muc more seriously searched? I think deputies were sent out twice...they didn't smell anything? So strange.
