I'm very tempted to take DD out of school for a week instead of going over fall break the following month ;) like we planned. It's such a good deal. I wish it went inot October. Also we have friends that are going to Disney in October that we want to meet up with. They live in NJ so we don't see them much since we moved. Also the heat in September :crazy2: is gross, much worse than October. March weather was perfect.

So how was your trip?

My trip was FANTASTIC! Thanks for asking. We actually always go in March and it was pushed back to April and I would have to say the weather was that much better. I don't think I will be doing March again.
I went about four times in a row in August for a while. It's really not any worse down there then it is here at that time of year. I think I'm going to do the free dinning Sept 18-22. I have a lot going on here, so there is a chance I may not end up going in Sept.

:woohoo: Just booked Sept 18-22 @ Pop for a REALLY good price. I'm so excited!! I just earned a free flight too, so I AM PUMPED!! I will be doing MNSSHP and MVMCP in the same year:banana:

Just rub it in why don't ya? ;)

Seriously, that's very exciting, Kimmy! I'm actually looking at the #s and trying to ignore the fact that I know it is like 100 gazillion degrees that time of year. Hey, I could just get my fill of FREE Dole Whips to quench my thirst, right?

We'll see... (I seriously doubt it though :rolleyes1 )

Who else thinks they are going to have to bring an extra suitcase to accomodate the massive shopping they are planning on doing?:rolleyes1 My mom's already put in a request for a stuffed Minnie Mouse from World Showcase.

Question of the day: Name 2 resorts that you would love to hop to and check out.

I would love to visit Boardwalk and Poly.

That free dining sure is tempting! Maybe next year.

We have approx 2 months until we can make ADRs. Are we wanting to do a table service everyday? More than once a day?

I have been to every resort, my favorites are the monorail resorts. I would like to go to the Boardwalk too!
I say table service everyday. I'm not a huge fan of counter services.

Kimmy - Congrats on booking free dining at POP!! Sounds like fun - hope it works out for you. :)

As for Monica's question:

I love the Contemporary - wouldn't mind checking that out.
Table service each day would be great if its in the budget for everyone! :thumbsup2 It will be nice to try some new things without having to figure out what my picky daughter will eat.

I would love to check out the Poly and the Boardwalk/Beach Club as well. :goodvibes They both have things I'm dying to try... the Lapu Lapu and, well...you know...;)

I vote for TS every day, but we don't have to do more than one!

I think AK in the morning on Friday, say until lunch around 1:00 - somewhere sit-down. :confused3 Then a little relaxing before hitting the party. If we eat a big lunch, we can just get something on the "fly" at the party.

Then Epcot could be snacks and CS for the day with Japan (or whatever we decide) for dinner. Sunday, character breakfast somewhere, right?

This is making me hungry... I better go cook some dinner. I'll check in later..

Kimmy, congrats on the free dining and the free airfare. What a deal. Don't you just love it when you so easily justify another trip to WDW?

Resorts I'd most like to see: Well, I love GF and it's so neat at Christmas with the huge huge tree and the gingerbread house so that's one pick. And then I guess I'd pick BW because I haven't seen that one at Christmas time.

TS vs CS. I don't think it matters at all to me.

I'm wanting to travel with just my carryon so I'm hoping not to overshop. I guess it's going to depend on how well I shop in May.

I'm wanting to do gift bags for my adult kids for our Jan 09 trip. Anybody got any great ideas on what to do put in for adults? We'll be doing land/sea so it could be stuff for both parts of the trip. I've already bought so much stuff for my grandson that I think I'll have to UPS his gift bags down to WDW. :rotfl:

Sara, that sounds good! It would be nice if we can leave AK and go to Boma. I'm still yet to try that place.

I've never been there either - plus we could check out AKL. I don't think anyone had that on the list of resorts to check out so far, but I would love to see it!

Pakey - I don't think I've heard all about your Jan 09 land/sea trip! Please fill me in! How many of you are going? Is it just your immediate family? Friends? Your grandson is going, right? Inquiring minds want to know (well my inquiring mind - I guess everyone else already knows!) I would love to do a land/sea thing sometime soon. I think I would feel better on the ship, if my kids were a tad bit older!

You could give each couple a guide book. Especially if they're not that knowledgable(sp?) in all things Disney like us! Maybe a cool beach towel. (Or are you thinking smaller like gum and stuff?) Underwater cameras, Disney dollars, Disney themed water bottles.

I thought you didn't like Boma.:confused3 That sounds good, but could we stay at AK a little longer than 1:00. I'd hate to by a day ticket and only stay 3 or 4 hours. I know Pakey and Michelle like Boma. Sounds like a good plan.

Faith. get them each a passporter book for the cruise. give it to them ahead of time. tell them, "book your own blankety-blank excursions". :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Pakey - You could always order gift baskets for the adults if you don't want to worry about getting everything down there. I ordered a basket for Sam last year and it turned out great!

Boma sounds good to me too. We could do it mid/late afternoon so we can spend more time in AK and then the restaurant won't be so busy.

Maybe you can give them spredsheets with airline prices on them!:rotfl:

Or you could make everyone matching T-shirts (or order them..:rolleyes1 )

OOPS! I'm supposed to be giving Pakey spiral Mickey head shirt instructions! I forgot! I'll have to find the step by step peictures I took.

If we're going to go to DTD on Thursday does everyone want to eat at a resort or how about Captain Jack's? I've heard it's good. Anyone been? Michelle and I also dicussed Earl of Sandwich. I know Kimmy likes Rainforest Cafe.

Captain Jacks looks pretty good - just looked at the menu. Pakey - will you be there Thursday night? There are lobster tails on the menu - does that mean this won't work for you?

Funny thing is Rainforest is not my favorite in DTD. Rain forest is Missa's top choice and I always agree. We ended up going twice because that was Missa's choice when we flew in and then my niece who is Missa's partner in crime wanted to go too as soon as she came in. I really like Fultons and I like Captain Jacks. I just tried Earls for the first time and really LOVED it! What I am dying to try is Raglan Road.

OOO, I forgot about Raglan Road! We could try that! Have you been there Pakey, the food queen? I'd be willing to try Fulton's, but I'll have to check out the menu. Is it very seafoody smelling in there?

I don't think it smells, but I like seafood :confused3
