For y'all's viewing pleasure--We were invited on their cancer awareness night. So instead of their green uniforms they wore special ones that had pink ribbons and teddy bears and auctioned them off at the end of the game to benefit a local cancer assistance program.

Then after at a restaurant they invited us to so Trace could meet all the players and get them to sign his shirt.

It was a fun fun night!!

OK--everytime I preview it shows the pics as huge!! But I have resized and resized, reloaded and reloaded....aRGH!!! I will try to fix it asap if they are hugemongous.

I followed you over here from the Big Give. When someone asked if you were Traces mom I had to look for Trace on the Wish Trippers thread and then that of course led me here. Okay just call me stalker Trace and my DS10 have alot of similar likes. I keep hoping one day we will make it for a Star Wars Weekend. My DS would love it, who am I kidding my DH would probably love it more. I'm a homeschooling mom too and we've been considering becoming wish granters so it is very interesting to hear from someone who has. I'm so glad Trace got his wish and I hope MAW can come through on the tour.

We have been getting some temps in the 80s for about a week now and Trace is dying to get in the pool. It's still a little cool for me to let him swim. During the summer he lives in the pool, I swear he's part fish!!

I also need to get him some Mederma for his scar. His surgeon really wants us to put it on his incision and that stuff is expensive!! Especially how much he is outside and swimming and will be this summer. His scar is from the top of his ear, down to his ear lobe, curves around to the back, then curves back to front and goes down his neck to his shoulder. Looks like a lightening bolt. haha

Hey all...not much going on around the house. Spring fever is definitely here!! Trace is dying to get in the pool, but we are still having some cool nights so hopefully soon. Had some bad thunderstorms roll in this afternoon and dropped the temp 20 degrees and supposed to drop another 15 by in the morning. 40 something in central Louisiana in early April!! Poor Trace...pool water is not going to be warm anytime soon.

Kelsi was supposed to go get advised for the fall semester at her college of choice but we rescheduled due to the weather. Will go next week where she will meet her advisor and plan her first year in college. She's still deciding on a career, but I have a feeling in will be something with kids, maybe a branch of therapy. We also have to pay the deposit for her housing choice and start planning her dorm room---which will be loads of fun.

Kind of worried about how Trace is going to handle her moving out in August. It took him a while to get used to Katie not being around everyday, but he had Kelsi here to distract him. Now with both of his sisters being out of the house this fall, we are definitely going to have to find some extracurricular activities.

Healthwise, he is doing good. Next scans are end of next month and the anxiety is already starting. I know this is normal, but hate knowing he worries about it, makes him sick in his stomach. I also got some Houston Astros baseball tickets for those 2 days we will be there in Houston. I know he will like that!

Well, gotta get back to editing some pics and working on a special scrapbook. Just wanted to pop in and catch up! Hope everyone is having a great spring break! We homeschool, so we break when we want , but since we missed so much with Trace's appointments and surgeries, we just keep on going. Much to his disappointment!

I'm glad you homeschool, I think it is a great option....
Poor thing in regards to woryng about the scans.... i bet it is a weight that just won't go away.... hopefully someday it will...

Had fun with Kelsi today checking out the college campus where she will go this fall. She met with an advisor and checked out all the cute guys. We then went to meet up with older sister Katie at the campus bookstore, where she is working while in grad school. We had a great lunch, then took Katie back to work and got Kelsi some new college gear...t-shirt, water bottle, etc.

Can't believe this time is already here. This fall is will just be me, hubby and Trace at home. Well....besides 4 boxers and a bichon. Gonna take some time to adjust to both of my girls being out of the house and being surrounded by testosterone 24/7.

Trace is soooooo excited about his trip. I'm pretty sure he has watched every single you-tube video about Disney and GKTW. And he has made it abundantly clear that we WILL be having ice cream for breakfast every day.

Here's a new pic of Trace taken the other day at one of my photoshoots. I hired(bribed with Legos) him for the day to take care of the bunnies for my Easter Mini Sessions. He's standing on the edge of one of Louisiana's beautiful bayous...Bayou Des Glaises.
