Please I need some opinions

I dont know if i made a mistake . We were booked for Thanksgiving week 24 till Dec 1. DH just found out that his family is having a big reunion and he thinks we made a mistake going to disney on thanksgiving. I called the travel agent to see about changing till Feb 23 to March 1 . Can anyone tell me the comparison for crowds what the weather is like----------------

We just changed our trip to that week from the same week you are booked due to Hurricane Katrina hitting here. That week is Mardi Gras week for New Orleans, but most other schools are still in session from what I understand. We are hoping for smaller crowds and cooler weather, especially from Thanksgiving week. I think you will be happier with the February timeframe.

Feb 23 is the Thursday of President's Day week. Crowds will be higher from the 23rd-25th and then will thin out substantially by Sunday the 26th. But crowds will be lower in general than they would have been on Thanksgiving weekend.

February weather in Orlando is completely unpredictable. You could have days in the 80s with cool mornings, or you could have mornings near freezing with highs near 50. Both could happen in the week that you will be there.

thank you bob , i am starting to feel a little bit better, esp about the crowd levels. You said they are better then Thanksgiving week?

Thanksgiving weekend is VERY crowded, then it will thin out by Sunday November 27th. President's Day weekend is also very crowded but the crowds thin out by the end of the week.

I went during Mardi Gras 2005, and will be there again for MG 2006. I've also been during THanksgiving and peak summer time. MG crowds are large, but nothing compared to THanksgiving or Summer time.

Get there early, and you can hit all of the rides before they get crowded. We find that people stay out late, and don't get to the parks for the early times, but by mid day, the park that opened early is packed.

Our first time in the parks with 3 small kids was July 4th. Everyone said how crowded it was going to be..it was not that bad....Whne you get there, the crowds wil not matter..just use fastpass wisely and enjoy
