***In no way meant to be a diagnosis, LOL***
That is how I felt before I was dxed with stomach ulcers. The way the doctor explained it to me is that when you eat, your stomach creates more acid to digest your food, and the ulcers hurt when that extra acid is produced. Some people feel the pain hours later, I felt it right after I ate. Which, of course, made me not want to eat...which compounded the problem.
I think I expected ulcers to be like a burning achy pain, mine wasn't. It was a sharp acute pain right below my breastbone, in the middle. Felt like a knife (not that I have any experience with stabbing, LOL)
I had to get an endoscopy to dx it and then medication to treat it. Made a HUGE difference. And I also do best with small meals throughout the day, just something to give my stomach acids something to chew on, other than my stomach lining. I didn't notice any difference in the pain with specific foods...everything pretty much caused the same reaction. FWIw
Obviously, talking to your dr is the best thing and I am sure that is your plan.
Good luck with it!
