I keep running across the term "fastpass". I know it has to do with tickets but can anyone verify what this is? How do you get it???

Thanks in advance!!

Fastpasses are used when you don't want to wait on line for an attraction. All you have to do is put your park ticket in the Fastpass machine at each attraction and then come back to the attraction between the times of the Fastpass ticket that's printed out for you. They come in very handy! But you can only have one at a time.

Fastpass is a ticket you can get on the most popular rides that tells you to come back between specific times and you can get on the ride relatively quickly. There are Fastpass machines off to the side of the regular ride entrance. A clock above the machines tells you what time you will receive on the Fastpass. For example, you get to the ride at 10am and the Fastpass machine tells you you can come back between noon and 1pm to get on the ride. It is usually best not to get a Fastpass if the standby line is 20 minutes or shorter. You simply insert your park entrance ticket into the machine and you are given a little slip of paper with your return time. Everyone in your party who want to ride, must get a seperate Fastpass. Some rides such as Soarin and Test Track go through their allotment of Fastpasses early. When you enter a park you will see a board that lets you know the standby times for rides and the Fastpass times. This lets you decide where you want to go.

Good luck

Yup!

If the line is really long and you don't want to wait in it, you can use FastPass (anyone with a ticket can use it.)

They are little machines where you slide your park ticket in (like an ATM) and it spits out a little piece of paper that tells you when you can come back and ride with no or little wait. You slide in one ticket per person and get one little piece of paper per person.

You bring the little papers back (one for each person!) and give them to the employee at the "FastPass Return" line, which is usually pretty close to the regular "Stand-By" line.

Just be sure that after it spits out your little piece of paper (your "FastPass") that you remember to take your ticket as well! People have been known to forget their ticket (like some people used to forget their ATM card). A ticket forgotten in a FastPass machine is usually a ticket stolen by another park-goer!

Fast Passes are the greatest thing! Only certain rides/attractions offer these. Simply place your ticket/card into the machine and it spits out a ticket w/a stamped time of when to return to the ride. You then enter through the "Fast Pass" line and pass all the poor people standing in the standby line. Best to use this in the AM as the more popular rides can distribute all their fast passes for the day in the afternoon. We missed Space Mountain because of this on our last trip but won't make the same mistake next time. You cannot get another fast pass until the return time stamped on the ticket (i.e. if it tells you to return between 10:30 and 11:30 then you can get another fast pass after 10:30) or two hours later, which ever is sooner. It may sound confusing, but trust me after you use it once you will get the hang of it. Even if lines are short, still get the fast pass. You can never turn a fast pass in early, but you can be late. So even if you're told to return by 11:30, don't worry if you get there later than that. You'll still be allowed on. But know that you will need a fast pass for every member of your family. You may also want to select one person to be the "fast pass runner", send that person to collect the fast passes for everyone in your group instead of everyone walking around. It's quicker that way. Sorry if this seems long - but you will love the time you save.

Fast passes are....the best thing ever on any day! Even if it's not crowded, we get a FP, stand in the regular line, and then ride again!
