please help...signature links...

The links in my signature to the DIS Meet photos and to the DIS Con photos aren't working. Do I need to change something in the address? yikes...I can't find these threads without the links working

Well I can help but you probably aren't going to like to hear what I'm going to tell you.

First, in your signature, wherever you see:

http://www.disboards.com/forums/......

Change it to:

http://www.disboards.com/.....

In other words, remove the forums/ from the URL

Wherever you see:

http://64.255.125.24/forums/....

Change it to:

http://www.disboards.com/...

Now for the bad news. When you get the links working in your signature and can reach those threads, you need to do the same thing to every link in both those threads. I'd offer to help but I can't edit your posts.

I'll tell you what I can do though. I can copy the code from those posts, do a global search and replace on it and send it to you to copy and paste over the old code. Email me at bbrazeal@home.com so that I'll have a return email address for you. I'll start working on those long threads with all the links. It shouldn't take too long.

ACK, Bob!! That's EXACTLY what I had feared!!! Which probably means...every one of MY links...will link to other peoples picture threads that wont work either?

I've already got the code redone for the posts but I can't edit your posts so email me (bbrazeal@home.com) and I'll send you two text files that you can copy and paste into posts with all the links fixed. I've posted them as tests here on the Tech Board but you'll want to post them so that you can edit them in the future.
